As news comes in from the Tokyo auto show that Subaru is showing a concept that previews the 2017 Impreza (which we’ll have more on in our forthcoming Tokyo show coverage), the Japanese automaker has announced pricing for the 2016 version of its compact sedan and hatchback.
The news is simple enough: pricing for most trims remains the same, while Limited models cost $100 more to cover the cost of Apple iPhone Siri compatibility, SiriusXM Advanced Audio Features, SiriusXM Traffic and Travel Link (subscription required), and access to the SUBARU Map Update Program, all of which is now standard in that top-line version.
Pricing for 2016 starts at $19,995 for the 2.0i sedan, and the hatchback costs another $900. Touring models go for $21,695 (sedan) and $22,595 (hatch), and Sport trim is $23,895 for the four-door, and $24,795 if you want the five-door. Limited versions come in at $26,995 and $27,895 (four- and five-door, respectively). The continuously variable automatic transmission (CVT) adds $1,300 to each trim, and a tech package available in Sport and Limited models with the automatic pads prices for those cars another $1,200.
The 2016 Subaru Impreza is in dealerships now.

As a child, Chris spent much of his time playing with toy cars in his parents’ basement; when his mother would tell him to go play outside, he made car sounds while riding his bicycle or dug roads for his toys in the flower garden. Now he gets to indulge his obsession playing with real cars that make their own cool noises, and gets paid for it.
