Thats great, when are they getting a hatchback with an engine that puts out less power than my beard trimmer?? I would love a hatchback as a daily, not with less than 150hp though.

Subaru's advertised prices are aggressive, their actual prices are not so much.
Fobroader, the Mazder3 hatch doesn't have less than 150hp....

Quoted for truth. My experience buying a new Subaru from Ontario was extremely positive though - none of the pricing BS that is standard practice from the Western Subaru dealers.

It's the only reason people look at an Impreza in the first place.

Our dealers are ridiculous in their pricing - and in their service departments too.
Is there even a decent Subaru dealer in Alberta?
Quote from: mixmanmash on October 29, 2015, 08:51:18 pm Is there even a decent Subaru dealer in Alberta? Not even close.I had some repairs made in Vernon at Hilltop Subaru and wow, they were awesome compared to here. Charged MSRP for the parts and the labour rate was decent.
What about Scott Subaru in Red Deer? Being a newer dealership, I would hope that they would be better.
Quote from: mixmanmash on October 29, 2015, 09:06:11 pmWhat about Scott Subaru in Red Deer? Being a newer dealership, I would hope that they would be better.Dunno about them. But, in Edmonton, the dealers are both the same owners, and they're horrid. They add massive fees to the initial pricing, and their service departments are unbelievably expensive. They try to use their own "service schedule" which basically means you shell out massive sums for "inspections" on what seems like a weekly basis. The killer is that 2x or even 3x most of their OE parts prices - ugh. Welcome to the $300 oil and filter.
Lol. Might as well own a FGC then.
Quote from: mixmanmash on October 29, 2015, 09:45:04 pmLol. Might as well own a FGC then.Yup - if you INSIST and say you won't pay for the "inspections" it's still $120+ for an oil/filter. I haven't been there in ages but Subaru owning friends tell me it's worse than ever. And Scoob indie specialists? Not many around - thank gawd they're not complex vehicles.
