Okay, not really, but we couldn’t help but chuckle at the name of the Bentley EXP 10 Speed 6 concept, unveiled today in Geneva. The car is said to illustrate a future “sector-defining two-seater sports car,” but the name seems to have been dreamed up to reflect 1970s bicycle design.

Bentley doesn’t mention powertrain details—this is a concept, after all—but if anything, the moniker could indicate a plan to bolt in a 10-speed automatic transmission, though ZF Friedrichshafen AG, the company that makes Bentley’s current eight-speed, says it won’t be the one to build it.

But never mind that random chain of thought: check out the EXP’s looks. The front might be an acquired taste, but the rear combines the lines of the Continental GT with a hint of Jaguar F-Type, and to great effect.

Bentley says its designers used copper, of all materials, to accent features inside and out, and to “highlight the performance hybrid potential of the concept’s advanced new powertrain.” The goal, Bentley’s press materials go on, is to use this concept to build a future production sports car that will challenge competitors’ performance and set a new segment benchmark.

The British manufacturer hints that this concept could form the basis of a new model line, and its styling could “influence the expansion of the Bentley family.” In other words, look for a production model that looks something like this in a few years.
