The rear entertainment system allows rear passengers the option of enjoying a separate source of entertainment from the front passengers. Through two standard infrared, wireless headphones - additional units can be ordered - the RES will allow rear passengers to enjoy DVD movies, video and audio CDs, a cassette or radio station without disrupting front passengers.
The overhead screen for DVD videos is located between the two front captain's chairs. Featuring Dolby noise reduction, the 7-inch liquid crystal display flips down from the rear control panel with the push of a button.
Auxiliary input jacks are located in the left-side armrest next to the third row Magic Seat. The jacks will accept input from standard video game consoles and other video equipment. Also located within the third row armrest are three additional headphone connectors with separate volume control.
The 2002 Honda Odyssey EX with leather equipped with the Rear Entertainment System option has a suggested retail price of $39,100.
In recognition of the one millionth sale of the popular Honda Civic in Canada, Honda Canada will introduce a limited edition version of the Civic called the Civic Coupe Si Veloz. The word 'Veloz' is Spanish for 'swift'.
Using the current Civic Coupe Si with Group Option Package as a platform, the Veloz edition adds a front skirt, side skirts, rear skirt, rear spoiler, carbon fibre audio panel, chrome exhaust finisher, custom Veloz floor mats and Veloz badging. Based on the suggested retail price of Honda Genuine Accessories, the Veloz accessory package would cost approximately $2800. However, only an additional $1100 will be added to the regular Si Coupe price. This represents a value of $1700.
The manufacturer's suggested retail price will be $22,500 with a 5-speed manual transmission or $23,500 with a 4-speed automatic transmission. The Civic Coupe Si Veloz will be available only in Nighthawk Black Pearl or Satin Silver Metallic exterior colours and will go on sale in mid-March.
