An all-new model for 2011, the Equus is Hyundai’s new flagship sedan. Available at a limited number of dealers in specific cities, the Equus includes “concierge service,” in which the dealer will pick up the car when servicing is required and leave a loaner vehicle, and an iPad with Equus application that also has the owner’s manual in the device.

Based on a lengthened version of the Hyundai Genesis platform, the Equus shares that model’s 4.6-litre V8, tuned for slightly more horsepower, and its six-speed automatic transmission. Two trim lines are available.

The Ultimate adds power trunk lid, ventilated front seats, front wide-view camera, rear-seat vanity mirror, two-passenger “VIP” seating with right-side power lumbar, leg support and Shiatsu massage, rear monitor screen, power-adjustable rear head restraints, and cooled storage box.
