Last month, Lexus put out a hoverboard teaser that instilled an urge for me to go back to my childhood and watch Marty McFLy in Back to the Future 2, wreak havoc upon the town of Hill Valley.
The first teaser was so short that many readers still didn’t believe this was real. In the second teaser, Lexus is still keeping the details under wraps. All we know is that Lexus says they’ve created one of the most advanced hoverboards the world has seen through the use of “magnetic levitation with liquid nitrogen-cooled superconductors and permanent magnets to give the Hoverboard frictionless movement of a kind that had been thought impossible”.
This second teaser features pro skateboarder Ross McGouran, “Hoverboard Test Rider” and the hoverboard. McGouran is seen running his hands underneath the hoverboard as it’s indeed hovering. The next clip shows the hoverboard hovering alongside him as he struts away. At least this may put the naysayers to rest.
