The futuristic looking three-door Lexus crossover concept you see here is officially known as the Lexus LF-SA; a city-car set to be revealed at the upcoming Geneva Motor Show. While we don’t have any details as of yet, it’s a safe bet to say the LF-SA is set to do battle in the upscale hatchback market, with Mini most likely being its primary opponent.
Lexus says, “The LF-SA has been conceived as a luxurious, driver-focused vehicle, designed to address a future world that is more influenced by technology and virtual experiences. The new concept reflects Lexus’s passion for new design trends and explored unexpected territories for the brand.” From that statement, we can assume the LF-SA will be aimed at the informed buyer with a demand for engaging driving dynamics and the latest in in-vehicle safety, entertainment and technology. The over-sized front grille combined with the aggressive lines and massive wheels certainly makes for a striking vehicle.
Expect a range of engine options including a small-displacement turbo-charged unit and at least one hybrid option. The LF-SA is expected to be based on the diminutive Toyota Yaris platform. It’s expected to be positioned as the Lexus entry-level model.
