Could EcoBeast Be The New Raptor?

The folks at Ford may be building something with a bit more power than a boosted V6 if a recent trademark application is any indication of what’s to come.

Motrolix has dug up an application by the Blue Oval to register the ‘EcoBeast’ name, hinting at a new motor for the bound-for-Detroit Raptor or maybe something altogether different to take on the 707-hp supercharged V8 from Dodge SRT.

At this point, it’s all a guessing game as not much can be gleamed from a simple trademark application. However, we can all wonder (and hope) about the possibilities.
