New MQB-based long-roof Golf will be available with 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI engines

When the Volkswagen press conference starts at the Montreal International Auto Show next week, VW Canada will confirm the long-awaited Golf Sportwagon and its available engines with an on-sale date of March. Dealers can begin ordering the Sportwagon starting next week.

The all-new wagon, built on the same MQB platform as the seventh-generation Golf, will be powered by a choice of 1.8 TSI and 2.0 TDI four-cylinder engines. As of this writing, the 2.0 TSI from the GTI will not be available in the Golf Sportwagon.
