A9 will compete with Porsche Panamera
Audi is said to be readying a 4-door coupe-style flagship concept for the Los Angeles Auto Show that will hint at a future model, reports Autocar.
The new model, expected to be called A9, will compete with the Porsche Panamera and will sit at the top of the Audi range of cars. It’s to be underpinned by the same MLB platform as the fourth-generation A8.

“It builds on the design in place today but takes it to a whole new level. The design department is working very closely with the production department to give future Audi models a more technical look with added accuracy in terms of build – in keeping with their engineering,” said the source.
The concept may preview a new look for Audi, though it likely won’t be a great departure from the German automaker’s current design language. Changes may include a new interpretation of the single-frame grille sitting between new high-tech laser headlamps.
