Went to do a photoshoot with a friend last Saturday.
I love this last picture.
My car has 15% tints on the rear 3 windows. Buddy's is 25% all around.
Few gripes:
- Transmission thumps when it's cold.
- Side-view mirrors are too small. Virtually there is zero visibility from the rear 3/4 of the vehicle. Huge blind spots coupled with small side mirrors means that needing a blind-spot monitoring system along w/ rear cross-traffic alert is mandatory.
- The Shaker stereo isn't the best. I wouldn't upgrade to this if I had a choice.
Few surprises:
- The Pirelli All Seasons are actually not bad. I thought I'd have to replace them with something better but they've handled the rain really well.
- Rear cross-traffic alert has already saved me from a sure-fire accident (parking lot) as I was parked next to an SUV and couldn't see due to the C-pillar.
- I may end up daily driving this car year-around as it is next to impossible to get the rear-end to shake loose in normal mode.
My previous Miata didn't have any traction control or stability system, so it was relatively easy to have a bit of fun by swinging out the rear. Not so with the Mustang. I've not been in track or sport+ mode (yet) as I'm still learning the capabilities of the vehicle. With winter fast approaching and snow on the horizon, I'm not yet ready to put this car away.
Will I be crazy to daily drive this during winter?
