BTW...has anyone seen the absolutely insane numbers people are getting from a tune on the V6 Kia Stinger??   :o :o

The same type of tuning on the G70 would be bonkers!

The JB4-tuned cars with bolt-ons are pushing close to 500 whp. Not that we can advocate for that...

As for the winter tire fitment, the factory stagger is irrelevant - overall diameter is identical front-to-rear for all fitments, so you can square up with no issues. In fact, all of our factory-approved winter sets for G70 are -1 square setups.

 :o  :o
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

ooo...so, $57k for the car, add another $600 for the tune, and those are some pretty serious numbers...i wonder how much less that will be than the Zupr4. :)

Common knowledge already....at least per the forums.

Am not reading about any big issues either...apart from correct spark plug choice. There are some early issues with coil packs though (not tune related)...but so far so good.

I do as well.  I'd still be torn by the hatchback utility of the Stinger though.

Stinger vs. G70

https://www.autoblog.com/2019/04/15/genesis-g70-vs-kia-stinger-comparison/

Good read, thanks for sharing.

I'd be thrilled to have either car as a daily but it would be the Stinger for me b/c hatch and the slightly more GT vibe.

Also, I've seen a couple of G70's on the road now, and while it's a handsome enough sedan, I really don't get all the fawning over its exterior styling: its nicely proportioned, inoffensive and derivative. (and in fairness to Hyundai, so is every other compact / RWD / 3-box / sport sedan; there are no standouts - even the "gorgeous" Alfa Giulia is just a cleaner-looking 3-series clone, with fewer character lines, just like the Jag XE, or the Caddy ATS, or the Infiniti Qwhatever.)

No utility advantage for either for me....

If 2 golf bags fit, I'm good!  :)

That they do, although if your driver is really big it might need to be out of the bag. The Koreans LOVE golf - they'd never design a sedan that couldn't fit two sets of clubs  ;)

I was just on the Genesis website and noticed that there is now only one trim level for the G70 with the 3.3T engine.  The 3.3T is now$58k.  While still probably a bargain, the previous entry level 3.3T trim was the sweet spot for me.

Interestingly, there are three 2.0T models available.

I have just under a year left on my q50 lease and I’m starting the shopping process.  While i will still drive the G70, but it is probably priced out of my wheelhouse now.
