^^^^ I've wanted that kind of a rich mocha interior in a car for so long now....  [emoji813]
We’re getting that colour on our Q7. We were getting tired of black on black.

That G70! Gorgeous by any yardstick. They’ve nailed it.
Yep...a fine looking car.

I prefer quilt!
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

You kind of can - the 2.0T Elite at $47,000 has real leather with nice vertical-stitch quilting. Other than the leather type (regular vs. Nappa), stitching (vertical vs. diamond quilting), and door cards (plain leather vs. quilted leather), the interiors are basically identical. I'm partial to the Caramel Brown.

That brown interior does look great.  I knew it was an option with certain colours, but the website doesn't have any photos (that I could find) with that interior.  You should have that option detailed on the website!

Alas, I missed the deadline to put a deposit in.  My wife doesn't want me to put money down on something that I haven't driven.  So, I'll take a test drive and see what comes of it.  She knows that I really want the 3.3T, though.  On the good side, if the lease rates stay in the right range, it would still be less expensive to lease a fully loaded G70 than to lease a Kia Stinger GT (that is a very nice car, too and the hatchback is a great bonus).

Even though I'm more of a wagon/hatch kind of guy, I'd take the G70 ten out of ten times over the Stinger.

exactly why Kia/Hyundai built them so different even though they use the same platform and powertrains.

Exactly.  I love the Stinger, but I would prefer the G70.  Kia's lease options are terrible and it is actually cheaper to lease a loaded G70, with all of the high-end service that goes with it, than a base Stinger.

I priced a Genesis G70 RWD Sport 2.0T manual, $487 a month lease or a bit more to finance. So tempting, but my wife would kill me if the next newer car was not a big family vehicle especially since I already made it clear I'm getting two bikes - the fun bike and the commuter scooter.

What are the terms of that lease? I was looking at a three year/24k a year lease and it was more like $700+ taxes in.

Perfect timing! Here's where to go then if you must, the SUV/CUV/BOX thread. Awesome rollover pics, says it all. :rofl2:

The lease interest and finance rates went up by a point today. :(  I suspect the $487 was with the old rate.

Well, it's been a G70-filled week. Kicked it off at 10:00 p.m. on Tuesday night helping push a G70 in neutral through a labyrinth of hallways at Pearson into T1 secure side, where it now sits in a newly-constructed brand experience centre. Check it out near gate D20 if you're around.

Then, on Wednesday, the weather finally cleared enough to risk driving these things on their Pilot Sport 4 rubber. First up was a Himalayan Grey 3.3T Sport - this is very likely to be the colour I go for when I get mine.

This weekend, I'm in a Siberian Ice 3.3T Sport. I like this shade, too - it's a solid grey, meaning no metallic or pearl in the paint. Kind of like Audi's Nardo, but lighter. Looks nice with the red brakes and interior accents.

Final cool note: I've been spending time playing with Genesis Connected Services. This is a new app standard in all G70s that allows remote vehicles access, a vehicle locator, maintenance reminders, and emergency SOS response. Works super well and it's cool knowing the option is there. Particularly when I have 15 cars linked to it...

That gray Sport is the color I like too.

Though I'd want silver wheels.

That car looks sharp as heck in every shade I've seen so far.

I've contacted my local dealer to set up a test drive.  My wife hought that I was crazy to put a deposit on a car that I hadn't driven and I missed the intro rates... she's not going to hear the end of that.  Hehe

I assume no remote start on the manual?

Adding this review to the G70 mega thread as well:

"but the fact it sports a chassis that outperforms the very best the Germans have to offer is the real reason you’ll want a Genesis. Be a brand slave all you want, but never believe that you German touring sedan handles or rides better."
