Well I bought the TSX off my mother. It is a 6spd manual.
Well, there's something you don't read every day.

You mean someone buying their own car...or?   :rofl2:

Honda still had a lot of "nimble" mojo back then.  The Type R Civic gives me hope that they're back.

The TSX is decent. When I drove my buddy's, I thought to myself "man this is bigger than my 3 but just as nimble but has a lot more creature comforts, why didn't I consider one of these?"

Thanks all.

Driving it around a bit more I am a little mystified by the gearing on the transmission. Doing highway speeds in 6th the engine turns at 3,000 rpms or so. The engine has lots (relatively speaking) of torque. Why not lower that a bit? 5th gear is perfectly usable around town even at say 60km/h. Other than getting to feel like a trucking shifting five times up to 70km/h I wonder why the gearing on 4th through 6th isn't a bit taller.

70km/h? I'm in 6th gear by 60.  ;D But my Mazda 3 spins at under 2400 RPM at 100 km/h and under 2900 RPM at 120 km/h. Yes that means I'm under 1500 RPM at 60 km/h.

Typical honda 6 speed, I'm hovering around 3000rpm at 110km/h in 6th. 70km/h and above is 6th gear for this flatlander...

on

off

brackets off and gone

I put on this 7-ball shift knob just for fun. Not sure how long it will stay. I had it from a previous project (Locost Seven).

Is that permanent damage from the sunroof visor?

That's true of the Fit as well. 5th and 6th should be taller.

Looks so much cleaner without the visor.  I wonder why it was put on in the first place?  Does it not have a built-in one that pops out when the sunroof is opened?

I didn't see a built in one but I wasn't really looking. Unless it got removed to install the that one. We'll see how it is the first time I open it at speed.

I concur - much better without the visor, even if it is permanent damage :P

Looking good!

I see these a lot - and the even more perplexing rain eaves trough things - so fugly.   Don't know wtf people are thinking.
