Summer performance tires though.  They're gonna be useless in the snow.

I bought rims and tires a few months ago. Sitting at the shop waiting for me.

I'm now getting confused. Has a winter setup but not installing them?

I bought my winter setup in September. Originally the car was expected in late November or early December but due to covid delays it will now be the end of February. This winter setup will be installed when I take delivery of the car. It sucks to have to put on a winter setup for a month or so but I'm not going to drive the stock summer performance setup in winter. Especially as I will drive it to Collingwood to go skiing.

On the other hand my winter setup is pretty ace no it's not like I'm roughing it.  :P

Just wanted to quote this again, to be sure everyone has read and understood it.

Wait, so why didn't he put the winter setup on the car when he bought it?  I'm confused...  ;) :rofl2:

I had a first-hand experience in how garbage performance tires can be in the snow when a friend of a friend came to the cottage in the winter a few years ago.

It was a Nissan Maxima and it took 8 of us pushing it to get it to move, it couldn't even climb the smallest grade.  Ridiculous.

Yeah, wrapping that beauty around a tree on its first day out would suck

Look forward to seeing it

Nonsense.  It's not like it will take him 6 months to get another one.

Oh, wait...  :rofl2:

Seeing as the engine is turbo charged I was curious to see if there are any companies that offer such a thing.  One Google search later and OMG this thing could easily make close to 500hp with a stage one tune.  Now the likely hood of you doing that while it is under warranty is probably nil, plus you will likely only keep this until the warranty runs out, but it's a cool thought.

Haha. Brutal wait for sure. Especially for the last year of a model year. Lots of time to overthink the other options.

Johnny the eurocharged tunes are huge.

I will take April if it is delayed but it will be hard not to accept delivery once it arrives.
With how long you have been waiting for it I don't blame you for putting it on the road right away.  Plus this should be an epic winter vehicle so no need to wait, it's not a 700hp RWD muscle car.

I'm getting excited for you, Mango. We should get pictures of the C43 AMG Wagon and the 3 Wagon M-Sport at some point...

speaking of different tires for winter, TFL just did a comparison...they had a RAV4 Hybrid and compared stock all-seasons to some Bridgestone Ecopia all-seasons, Firestone all weathers and Bridgestone Blizzak DM-V2 winter tires...a pretty good comparison video to see how the different tires performed on the same vehicle and conditions.

I think you are going to miss the Camaro this summer.

😉
I actually think he will get more enjoyment out of the new wagon as he didn't drive the Camaro a crazy amount anyway.  This one will be enjoyed daily.

I don’t consult others I do what I want to do.

Wife will never drive a wagon and the ML is mint and perfect for her and our family adventures to the cottage, etc.

Considered MDX and Camaro but in the end I just dont have the lifestyle where I have time or want to make time to drive a dedicated sports car and deal with the hassle of multiple cars anymore. I spend too much of my (little) freetime playing sports or training.

So while it sucks, something like a sport wagon is literally the perfect option for me.

If things change I’ll buy something else in the future.
But maybe everything will be all electric by then... At least manual trans will be very scarce.

Still hope you have fun in the wagon. Sounds like a fun ride regardless.

The only solution would have been to get the wagon for the significant other and keep the Camaro (and MDX for the winter).

Why was I not consulted?

Wait, I'm confused. Are you his significant other?

It was a joke.

Although I have heard that he is quite the looker.

You’ve been misinformed.

Awesome!  Today would have been a great day to test that AWD system and do some big drifts.  :skid:
