Dang it! I am sure it would not take a week for me to get a tire from you.

Seriously, though, sad to hear that, but glad that you had fun with it, and thanks for your tips on my purchase.

The replacement not [100%] set yet. Going to drive the Truck for now.

Major factors for selling:

- Lost my storage and while I have other options it's a bit of a pain in my ass to have multiple cars at this point in my life.
- Barely drive it. Only 12,000km and I got it in 2017. While I am a car enthusiast it's not like the good old days when I can go out for drives, meets, the track. Time spent at work, with the kids and/or kids programs, and my other hobbies are more important to me now (skiing, weights, cycling, running, cottage, etc).
-no where to drive it. Related to number above. No where to really stretch its legs. Cops everywhere these days getting covid revenue.

Still turns heads to this day as she rumbles down the street......  :'(

Different stages of life...time to consolidate

There is only so many hobbies/tasks a person can fit into one life. And it's good to have different interests as time goes by

Doesn't mean you can't go back when circumstances change

The 140 everywhere is the thing. Going 140 and it's just warming up. If there were no speed limits it would be a totally different story.

Rob, I used to lament your comments about too much car for the street and thought you were old and lost your way.....but now I understand.  ;D ;D ;D [emoji14]
IS-F was like that...but I still desperately want a GS-F. But could make do with an RC-F. :)

I'm just happy you made it this long without ending up in prison. Sad to see it go but makes total sense.

Rob, I used to lament your comments about too much car for the street and thought you were old and lost your way.....but now I understand.  ;D ;D ;D :P

Are you saying that you understand that you are now old and lost your way?  :rofl2:

But in all seriousness what the :censor: are people doing with these supercars? Cars have so much power these days. You can't drive these things ANYWHERE unless you go to the track or live in bum town.

I red the new BMW M8 Competition does 0-60 in 2.5 seconds, the 1/4 mile in 10.7 @ 127 mph, and I don't even consider it a super car. Yikes.

I feel it when I sorrow most;
'Tis better to have loved and lost

At least you can say you got to own one, and that's a pretty remarkable thing.  Onward and upward!  Now grab your suspenders and Velcro shoes and let's go get you that Buick.   ;D

What you want Quad is the GOLDEN THUNDER edition... which I'm guessing is for the Chinese market.  :P

Oh man... sad to read this Vman,.. but i get it...

I'd love a V8 but one of two things would happen... like you, frustrated that you can't really drive it anywhere, or me in jail.
That is one of this things i love about the MX-5... can drive it hard and no one really notices.

You could get a Tesla model 3 , does 0 to 60 in 1 sec , cost nothing in maintenance, and you will make money on when you traded in 20 years from now  ;D

That's the thing, I think my car is just on the edge of being too powerful so I am not gonna mod it power-wise. I can't imagine drive an ZL1 around.

As for living in bum town, yeah it has its upsides but if you lose a tire or something, have fun waiting for one.

:'( :'(  I am feeling multiples of emotions...anger (F you Vman!!!  >:( >:( :'( :'( :'( How could you!!!!!) - sadness...sorry for your loss Vman...understanding...where do you drive it like it wants to be driven and gorgeous as it is...12k in 4 yrs...other responsibilities...life in general (it's why I sold my bike over 20 yrs ago and just never got another one... :'()...but mostly I'm going to miss the spring time pulling it out of the garage reveal.  I'm not a huge fan of black cars...but that thing just got me every time.     Never tired of seeing new pictures, even if they were the same as the old pictures.

Oh well...I guess time to let it (and you!) go, and live vicariously through that other forgettable guy... :P :-\

On a more positive note...new Bronco with a 2.7 eh?  Cool!!  Gonna be a while for the reveal I guess.  ;D

Unless it is the MT82.  Then run away.

https://www.caranddriver.com/news/a33301752/2021-ford-bronco-manual-transmission-specs/

Having owned a 7-speed manual myself(C7 Z51), can't say I like it. I am much happier with the tried and true 6-speed TR6060.

Of course, I don't know how this 7-speed will feel, but generally I see people preferring a 6-speed. Well, maybe not if it's an MT82, but I heard it's more of a Ford problem than a Getrag problem, so it could theoretically happen on the Bronco as well with the 7-speed.

https://www.automobilemag.com/news/say-no-to-the-seven-speed-manual/

Edit: it looks like the low gear for crawling(C) is in the dogleg configuration. Makes sense. On paved roads, it should feel like a 6-speed then.

Church parking lot, seems like "forgive me for what I am about to do" seems apropos.
Loved my V8 Camaro back when I didn't have a family and commitments.
My recommendation, think about a vehicle that allows silent 0-50 sprints, no one looks when you launch a 400 HP EV...

Yeah but that EV doesn't look nearly as menacing and it makes a sound like a dyson vacuum, therefore, meh. There is no way you can have a plug in fun car.
Lighten up Francis.....
