Both items fixed under warranty and solved. I got a loaner - a Cadillac XT5. Item one is no big deal and something that happens - item two falls a little under the classic GM category but good to hear they're aware of it and fixed it no problem. Great to have the Camaro forums to highlight these issues before I even had them so as soon as they arose I knew what I was hearing.
both items are pretty minor, and it happens...the key thing is that it gets resolved, which it looks like it did fairly easily so that's always good.
My only complaint would be that the paint is so-so and the clear coat is . Paint damage occurs pretty easily especially with the super sticky steam rollers kicking up every rock and pebble on the road. I knew all this going in but it would count as my only real negative.
one thing you should consider is protection options...i know you are unlikely to come here (can't remember where you live?), but there are likely premium detailers in your area.
our local one is Scotty's Shine Shop (
http://shineshop.ca/) ...if you check their facebook page, it's littered with plenty of posts/pics in the last couple of months of some of the vehicles they've done, and they're all spectacular...they aren't cheap, but they really are the best...aside from the usual "detailing" packages, they also handle wraps, ceramic/glass coatings and other products to help protect the car's paint (they also do paint correction and a number of other restorative programs)...seriously, these guys are the real deal.
