Test drove another used RX350 last night, a F-sport this time. Beautiful shape, liked the look of it compared to a regular one, and seemed to ride just fine. A series I though, so missing some features the wife was looking for (no blind spot, parking sensors, heated wheel, HUD). She commented 'that Rav4 hybrid really pulled in comparison', which I thought was interesting. The V6 is a sweet engine, but it doesn't have the right now grunt of electric.
Tried out a few more vehicles in various showrooms:
NX200t: much narrower inside than the RX, felt pretty small, compounded by the large dash and short roof height. Very poor rear visibility out the back ruled it out. Base version in our price range missing many useful features, and the cost of the add on packages would buy a Micra or two
Forester XT: great visibility, but felt like a kid's toy inside compared to the RX
Highlander: even though it is not that huge, feels like a monster sized thing, with flat seats and a high dash far away
Regular Rav4: more solid feeling than the Forester, but the RX seems to have spoiled us. And escalates in price quickly when you add features
