Hmmm you do have a tendancy of binning the race bike , eh? Hopefully the next race will break the streak.   . At least you are okay physically again this time.

Bad things do happen in threes. Here's to hoping the fourth time's a charm!

i'm thinking you should quit while you're ahead...perhaps the racing thing just isn't for you...i don't mean any offense by it (i wouldn't do it myself either), but you've been lucky enough to not suffer any serious injuries and i'd really hate to see you tempt fate.

check out this save at the Isle of Man TT race:

https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=46KuqaehOHc

staying off the seat prevented him from getting kicked off the bike...man, that would have really hurt if he lost it.

It's racing. I have made three rookie errors I understand and know how to avoid again. The guy leading the championship has had three crashes this year too.

Hell, the guy in third in the MotoGP championship had five crashes at Catalunya alone!

I love racing, and I've entrenched myself well and truly in the pointy end of the mid pack, which is extremely satisfying. I'm going to invest in better gloves, and change how I make my notes at the end of each session, plus work on physical fitness to eliminate soft errors due to fatigue.

I appreciate your concern, but imma keep going. Life is for the courageous.

Power to you, mate!  I of course have concern for your well-being, but if you take the necessary precautions, learn from your mistakes, and continue to better yourself, inherently dangerous activities can be less so.  This brings up the question of the mountain climbers that fall, Steve Irwin, and even novice downhill skiers.  My family has vehemently demanded that I stop scuba diving, skiing, or skydiving.  I've had no serious injuries out of any of those activities, but I'm sure they're more than simply "possible."

Choose how you want to live your life.  From my perspective, Jacob's doing a great job here, and he certainly is mindful of his wife and kid when he participates.  I like the idea of better gloves if you're hurting your hand repeatedly, and we can all see from his ass-cam, err, videos that he wears a full face helmet, back protection, etc.  And did you see the cute little boots? Awww!

Jacob didn't go out, buy a 1200cc bike and try to figure out racing on the streets of Windsor here...he is affiliating himself with a racing school and participating well.  The bike's a good fit, and his injuries thus far (THANKFULLY) haven't been too bad.

Keep working on it, keep at it, check your e-mails more often for new articles, and keep on riding the mean, green, Kawasaki machine!

THIS!!!! Just watching the video, in that last lap before your crash, you weren't getting as high up off the seat into your tuck position on the straight as you were in early laps... which to me was a sign you were getting tired & then sure enough you were down shortly thereafter. More training, less pints with the rugby crowd  ;D

Was rubbing Bickle Racing gloves, but have been instructed to get better ones.

The video doesn't really show why this crash occurred.....The bump certainly in the video doesn't seem to be too bad, and you'd think with your knee on the deck it might have been save-able.

The video doesn't give many clues.

Race tracks are 100x safer than public roads. If he's going to crash, it's better to crash on a race track.

Hope your hand bruise is super minor.

Here's a photo that shows the effects of it someone else experienced. My knee was on the ground, but it went very, very quickly.
Another rider in the pro supersport race had the same crash I later found out.

As for those saying I should give it away, if I was wobbling around 15 seconds off the pace and crashing without knowing why, I'd agree.
But, like I said: This is racing. And I'm learning.

Also, I can't find anywhere in Canada to buy Handroid gloves.

Revzilla ships to Canada.

And don't worry about people telling you to quit.  You'll know when it's time to quit.
