So why does the Lexus languish in the runner-up spot? It comes down to two elements: styling and vehicle dynamics. ... Nevertheless, our own responses to the SC430's styling and dynamics were uniform and unanimous: very nice, but not for us.
...
Still, for a car with soft springs and relaxed damping, the SC430's reaction to sharp bumps is disappointingly harsh.
...
Although the SC's five-speed automatic takes its time serving up kickdowns for passing, this portly cruiser (3910 pounds) can hurry when prodded. We were a little disappointed with its 0-to-60 time—6.6 seconds
...
if we didn't know better, it wouldn't be at all difficult to believe the SC430 belonged to the Buick family, in spirit as well as appearance.
Ouch...

If you think that was painful, you should talk to the feller contemplating his CLK's latest repair bill ;D

The harshness was due to the run flats. Once owners switched these out, the car was fine.

The SC is wonderful for a grand router. It is quieter with the roof down than many cars with a fixed roof.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Maybe that's why I liked it.  ;D

It was very reliable, pretty good performance for its time, comfortable, and the harshness was as rrocket said, mostly due to the stupid runflats.

Personally I don't like the colour but check out that price....$68,500. Who is going to buy it?

^^ That's practically a new car. 9500 km is not much and this was a $100K car. I wonder if at this price point wrapping the car is a solution, if the colour does not float your boat :)
I love it when a plan comes together.

I don't like this colour.........I actually LOVE it!  I wish more manufacturers ventured off the white/grey/silver/black a little bit more and offered some different colours.

I don't mind orange cars.

But on a GS-F, I'd like a more stealth color....to stay under the radar while blasting that V8!!

That is more of what I'm thinking. I actually love the colour, just wouldn't get it.

I don't drive in a way that I need to stay under the radar, so I guess it wouldn't matter to me.  I'd rock this colour in a heartbeat!!

I LOVE that colour, but oh, man, what a heat score!!  And I think with 9500km that car is actually priced not poorly.  It's a limited production car that lives at the top of the GS line and was closing in on $100K new.  It's no screaming bargain, but if I was standing in the showroom about to buy a new one, I'd strongly consider saving $30K for 9500km.  That's $3 per kilometer!!

I don't need to drive fast or gun it at every light to have fun driving.  Driving through twisties on country roads around here bring a smile to my face just a much.

So long as you gun it at every OTHER light, all is well.    :rofl2:

But I know what you mean.

But I couldn't contain myself with the GS-F.   ;D

I lost my license twice from 16 to 21 for driving like an idiot.  Perhaps that's why I drive the way I drive now.   ;D

I was thinking the same thing. I think a really good wrap job goes for ~$4k but yeah, considering how great a deal this one is, it could be worth it for the right buyer. Audi's Nardo Grey would be my choice  8)
