Yeah, probably, but a V car will always be WAY more exciting to fire up in the morning.
sure, when it's not on the back of a flat bed truck.   :stick:   :P

I have nothing against the Lexus, I'm sure its a fantastic car in its own right, for me though, a 600+ hp Caddy sounds silly enough to make sense.
i've always like the newest CTS-V and ATS-V cars...but i won't pretend they come close to touching a Lexus in terms of reliability, quality and resale value (although the V cars likely have the best resale of the Caddy brand).

I can't disagree: firing up someone's v-card in the morning is always exciting HI-YOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

He'll be here all week folks...try the fish lol

my FIL would beg to differ...his life long dream of owning a Cadillac when he retired lasted all of about 4 years...it was a POS...paid about $56k for it new, got $12k when he traded it in...one of the problems (failed steering pump) almost caused my wife to have a head on accident.

Meh...the CTS-V costs similar, but has ~200 more lb-ft of torque.  This actually competes with the $55,000-75,000 CTS Vsport on performance results.

Lexus is really lacking in engines/outputs at this price behind everyone else.

RIP  GS....

Cadillac has a certain stigma attached to it, ESPECIALLY the CTS.  I won't even bring up the age bias associated with Caddy buyers (whoops I just did!) but there's also the fact that literally half the Uber Black and airport limo drivers are rocking CTS' these days.

In the $80-$100K market, its all about visibility and prestige.

Grab a GS-F and it looks like you've made successful life decisions

Drive a CTS and people will think they can flag you down for a cab ride.

All valid points, none of which really matter to me.  The Cadillac's extra power means damned little outside of a racetrack.  I just watched a video comparison of the GS-F versus the much more powerful M5 where the reviewer said that the Lexus was clearly the more fun to drive car in the real world because its power was more useable.  And I think a high-revving naturally-aspirated V8 is and endangered species - even from Lexus.  I'd get one while I can if I could, before everything is boosted.  Or electric.  :-X

Plus, Lexus build quality versus GM?   :o  Please.

GS-F finishes  last behind Audi S6 and CTS Vsport.

Unless I'm reading your link wrong, the GS-F doesn't finish last.  In any case, reliability is absolutely the number one priority for me when buying a vehicle.......so yeah, I'll take the GS-F all day long over the other two.  YMMV.

Edmund's GS Fsport longterm review:

"...It depreciated about 30 percent. For reference, average car depreciation is about 22 percent. This deeper drop was fairly disappointing, given that Lexus vehicles have a reputation for good resale value. "

And yet, others preferred the GS-F over the M5, M3 and a MB AMG.

Different strokes, I guess..

Man...they said it steered better than the Caddy....so if the Lexus steers like a Lincoln, what does that make the Caddy?   ;D

A better all around performance car in basically every empirical category......sorry, Im sure the Lexus is a beautiful car, but as something I would want to actually look at everyday, hell no. You have your Camaro, I have the Lexus. The last good looking one was the SC series to me.

Doesn't matter.  Caddy buyers are hardcore, yo.  They spend 95% of their time slinging their cars around a racetrack.

Great attention to detail throughout the entire execution of the car, great V8... but still a face only a mother could love  :-\
