I think they're ugly in all the right places!     Well, except in Limited trim.  The
Limited model is just plain ugly!

If you're going to go that old, might as well go Land Cruiser...

Good call, but early generation Cruisers are probably the fastest appreciating motor vehicle out there along with air-cooled P-cars.

Would be a dream to have one of each though,  wouldn't it ;)?

Curious, would folks choose this or a GMC Canyon (crew, short bed) as a winter driver? On the one hand, 4runner, on the other, having the bed would be nice.

Serious question as one I think about possibly transitioning from a sports sedan to winter + dedicated summer ride (i.e. two door no back seats).
I love it when a plan comes together.

IMO, 4Runner - any day, all day.

For reliability and high resale value the Toyota 4Runner is the obvious choice.
A computer once beat me at chess, but it was no match for me at kickboxing.

High resale?  A 4Runner?  NO WAY!

 :rofl2:

Holy crap do they hold their value.  They're the worst three year old used buy, period, along with a few other Toyota models.  The used 4Runner market doesn't get attractive until they're 10 years old.  Sheesh.

Sure helps ease the pain if you're buying new.
