Two different family friends own top spec Muranos and the both positively rave about them.  Styling is too over the top for me - and some of the interior trim bits are questionable, but Nissan must be doing something right.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Interesting thought on "Value"...comparing this to the RX, which I'd argue is what the Murano is chasing after in everything except brand perception, it's a screaming bargain.  Even next to the Edge, there's a lot of value to be had in this boat.

Didn't Nissan update the V6 to pump out moar powah (284hp/259lb-ft)?  I guess it hasn't made its way to the Murano as of yet.

Five-hour trip?  I'd suggest that he didn't stay awake. I'm guessing there was a nap or two to stretch the trip out that long.  ;)

If you live on the west end of the GTA , It could take two hours to get out to Bowmanville
Also there a lot of cops out between Cobourg and Belleville now

I have a 2016 Murano SL AWD since last August.  I can see where (more so now) that Nissan is now the 'Japanese Buick'.  I didn't bother going to the Platinum didn't make financial sense (in my case I'm leasing it and I didn't want to have to source 20" rubber in 4 years  :o )

The 'NASA' seats are very comfortable and the space in the back is almost limo-like.  The CVT doesn't bother me - but I had a Sentra SE-R so I'm used to the sensation, if you want to call it that.

I love the interior appointments and the relative simplicity of the touch screen interface.  The front end is a little bloated in appearance but 'meh'.

The fuel economy is also very good in mixed or highway driving for the size of the vehicle.

Fortune favours the bold!

I live in Oakville and depending on the time of day, it can take me up to an hour and a half just to get to Scarborough.

Factor in a break in the middle and some traffic on arrival in Montreal, and I could be in for 7 hours.

I might have driven from Windsor to Ottawa on Monday morning and, well, umm... any police officers on here?  If someone were to have timed the journey, it might have taken 6h 47mins from Windsor to downtown Ottawa.

I drove from Kitchener to Ottawa yesterday in 5h7mins (left at 5:20pm, arrived at 10:27pm).  Took the 407/412, so didn't have a single bit of traffic (though this month's bill will suck).  Only slowdown was construction in Kingston around 9pm ::)

:rofl2:

fair enough.  I was more so expressing content with the 407/412 "relief route" despite the horrendous 401-crosstown congestion that plagues the city at pretty much all hours of the day (but worst after the end of the business day).

It's awesome taking that "relief route"!! I take the 412, then 407 west to the 410 north & then up to Caledon to see the folks

Ahhh...thank you....I had no idea what the hell he was talking about. I thought parsecs was some weird Ontario slang like May 2-4  :rofl2: :rofl2:

Here you go  :

The Kessel Run was a hyperspace route[1] used by smugglers and unscrupulous freighter captains to move spice from the spice mines of Kessel at the behest of the Pyke Syndicate, who relied on the foolhardy Kessel Runs to deliver the illicit substance to their customers.[2] The route involves several extreme changes in velocity in order to jump to, and drop out of, light speed with the minimum time spent out of hyperspace while making drops, pick ups or tight turns. It was therefore the source of much bragging between smugglers. The time to perform the run proved too difficult to arbitrate (due to the highly relativistic distances involved) but a fierce competition developed nonetheless, for the pilot and ship able to make the run while covering the shortest overall distance demonstrating the most adept maneuverability and pilotage.[source?] Han Solo, captain of the Millennium Falcon, made the infamous run in less than 12 parsecs,[3] breaking a long-held record.[1]
