Touche....yes. I suppose these days the fact that it doesn't look like a shapeless blob of room temperature wallpaper paste it would be far too exciting for the minivan types.

Sweet ride!! My uncle picked up a Corvair Monza convertible about a year ago... he keeps it down in FLA & says it's too hot in the summer to drive it with the top down  :banghead:

When I walk outside in a Florida summer:

One year I was wrapping up right at the end of June. 90 degrees outside, 80% humidity. Someone had put up a thermometer on the ground floor of the power plant I was working at.
It was reading ~135 degrees.

That kind of did it for me.

Using the same platform, Chevrolet also offered a “Corvan 95” panel van without rear side windows

That sounds vaguely unsafe. Botulism dies at 185.

That was about the coolest part of the plant. Lord knows what it would have been up by the steam drums.

The company was pretty good at having water coolers and ice machines spread around the plant. They also had notices on how to identify heat stress/heat stroke.

It was ungodly though. I can handle cold. A person can always pile on more layers. You can only get so naked before the OSHA and HR get involved. Apparently.  :-[

That is really cool.

Too bad there is no photo of the cargo area.  :( I'd like to have seen the view through the rear cargo doors to get an idea of the engine placement. That's basically the main distinguishing feature of this little trucklet, so seems odd not to get that photo.

A look at the actual engine would be cool, too, but can understand why that would be omitted if it meant removing a big cover panel or something.
