I bet you've never had to clean chocolate milk off of your headliner either.

Bubba being single might have other stuff to clean off his headliner...  :o   :run:

Oh.

Don't get me started on how the other members of this household treat our cars.

One of the disadvantages of being single is I know any french fries under the seat are mine and I can't blame anyone else.

So uh... how old does it have to be before you absolutely rule out still eating it?

Hmmm, I've never really had an upper range before...maybe 10 years older than me at any given age?

Oh, we were talking about french fries?  My bad.

There was no eating/drinking in our cars until the kid was damn near a teenager.

And only then it was just a beverage...usually water.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

Of course I just found out the passenger heated seat isn't working.  I called the dealership and booked an appointment.  We'll see what kind of goodwill I get considering it has 80,077 km and surely happened a while ago since it's been forever that the passenger heated seat has been used.

Did you get your appt yet? Curious what it was and how you made out.

Dealer called me back.

I needs a new heater element.  They will cover 70% of it, so I'm out $150 and there's no diagnostic fee.

Works for me.

Yep, what I expected. JLR has certain, sometimes very generous, out of warranty goodwill that can be tossed to "deserving" customers (ie: have they spent money at the shop).

I would have given you 80% at least since you are so, so close to the warranty end...but you don't have a Jag so....  ;)

Now drives a Jaaaaaaag...and thus will not pay for anything during an outing...but it is OK, because....I drive a Jaaaaaag.

I really should have brought it in earlier.  But the last time my wife and I were in the car I asked if it was working and she said she thought it was.   So I had put the issue to bed.  It was just tripping over the warranty that triggered me to look into it again.

So, yeah.  I think it's fair.

Not bad at all buddy... sucks that it was JUST out of warranty... so maybe I'd be bugging them to pick up more of the tab.... sometimes a call to HQ gets these things covered.  :rofl2:

Meh, they're already covering 70%, I'd say that's pretty fair.

I agree.   I mean, I called them 77 km over and clearly stated that found out before that.  If it was more than $150, or they weren't covering it I would escalate (or even call another Ottawa dealer).  But I kinda feel like it's a self imposed stupid tax, so I'm cool with it.

Thats great news.

My family's experience with Honda/Acura and Toyota has been the same way. HQ or dealer will show some "goodwill" if the vehicle is slightly out of warranty.
