^^ The CX-9 looks terrific in red.

Mazda's best colour is red!

Diesel is later.  Not 'til Fall from what I see
I wouldn't mind the diesel, but for the amount of driving we do, not worth it.

Already got dibs on a GT.

So you put a deposit down?

No, the guy I bought MX-5 from last year is calling me as soon as they have a GT in.
He knows this is very likely an easy sell for him.   ;D

^^^ He knows a sucker when he sees one!

 :rofl2:

Seriously, I really like the CX-5 and I'd probably go with it over a Crosstrek despite the higher cost.  You're going in the right direction.

Cool - well I shall look forward to the Show 'n Shine thread!

I think the new CX-5 is due to arrive in dealerships around April 7th, so the build and price will probably be available shortly.

Maybe they're delaying the build-and-price so they can include the diesel motor (I know, fat chance, but a guy can dream ;))

The diesel won't be available before the fall, but I wouldn't hold my breath, we've heard that before for the Mazda 6.

Why?  They don't give a :censor: about what others do.  They are not followers.  When they are ready, it's ready.  You rush stuff, and you get problems.

the GS is actually reasonably well equipped...i'll have to let my parents know to check one out when they come out soon.

Usually they package things pretty bad.  But being their 2nd best seller, they have to be very careful.  Leather only on the GT trim now.

Nice ! Finance and lease rates are stupid though... I hope they change that soon.

for my parents, not a big deal...they care about the safety features and other odd things that likely aren't in reviews (armrest comfort/size, ingress/egress, ease of loading/unloading items in cargo area, etc)...leather, sunroofs, 19" wheels are of zero importance to them, although i already warned them they might have to get some things they don't care about to get some things they do.

it's brand new, so typically deals don't start right away...my parents would pay cash though, so that isn't a factor for them.

Probably, goes down slowly with new models.  Finance rates are lower than the new CR-V though.

Can't seem to find heated steering wheel on the CRV.  And you can't get the power lift gate till you get to the EX-L trim on the CRV.
