Not sure if I should put this here or in the cycling thread, but I'll put it here.

Love this.  Why are bicycles as expensive as motorcycles:

Yup - I caught that the day it dropped. Cool vid.

lol. I can see why. You didn't spend much time in engineering or science labs in the dark corners of a university did you?

Yup. I did.

Some VERY cool bikes at EICMA this year, but one takes the butterface award with no close second.  The KTM 990 Duke - the new face of hardcore is so lol.  :rofl2:

KTM - please call it The Predator - please!   ;D

In other news, not sure I'm loving the Ducati-mimic styling of the 2024 CB1000R, to be rebranded as the CB 1000 Hornet.  I think the old one was one of the best-looking nakeds on the market.  BUt I guess if you're going to copy a design, then copy an Italian design.

Suzuki's GSX S1000 GT is their sport-touring option.  But they've added a new GSX S1000 GX that is more touring-sport. Not really pretending to be much of an off-road champion, but looks to be a very comfortable way to carry speed over distance on the road.

Nah, if I go to Italy it won't be to check out bikes. Horrendous is an apt description of the Duke.

Going retro on you. Me and my buddy bought a pair of new Honda CB400's in 1978. We were on top of the world. I had moved up from a 125CC 2 stroke trail bike so this was heaven. Electric start and mag wheels. It was pretty nice in its day.

This picture was from a road trip we took through the Great Lakes. Camping in pup tents. One day we did 12 hours in the rain. That was tough.

Last bike I ever owned.

I cropped myself out of picture as I had no shirt on and it was not a pretty sight. Too many beers in those days.  :D

Couldn't resist and bought one of the last new Suomy Mr. Jumps left. I am addicted to the things, at about 1000g they are unbelievably light. Found it in the UK for not much monies but no choice on graphics. It was either this or traffic cone orange.

My 2016 CB500X (replaced by new NX) was $7200 new
