Lol. I ride with a guy who wears panty liners on the forehead to catch sweat..

The Costa Rica video showed up. Pretty low quality but it brought back some memories. 7 days of riding straight in that heat took a lot out of me. Couldn't drink enough fluid.

That looks fun! Could see why it would be tiring though

I've done the same in Northern Thailand and Vietnam, the landscape and 'roads' are oddly similar

Awesome vid!

Yeah the riding wasn't necessarily hard for our group although there was Erzberg sections.  It was the long days (200k kms) and that heat. Much dustier than I thought too, apparently it is all but impassable in the wet season. Most of the tours are 1-3 days but of course we had to bite off 7 days.  ;D  Bikes were all modern KTMs and their offspring as I don't think any knockoff stuff would have lasted. I was on a 250 2stroke which required lots of clutch and rev dancing.

Awesome Moto Social gathering at Black Creek Coffee this past weekend.  Some truly impressive machines.  And excellent coffee, naturally.  :)

Those Triumph Rockets, such a steampunk vibe. 'In 1947, Sir Richard of Wollesley had a spare Merlin engine from the war. Wondering what to do with the bloody thing, he came up with a rather interesting idea......'

Nice! Looks like that was at the Georgetown location eh!? My nephew works at that Winners/Homesense there while my niece works at the SportChek in the same little mall.

Such a freaking cool bike - and pretty compact overall considering it's wrapped around such a ginormous engine.  Front tire on that thing is bigger than the rear tire on some bikes.  And the rear tire is bigger than on some cars.  It all looks very tidy and balanced in person, though.

Price is high but hardly surprising for the largest production engine in the motorcycle world.  Looked at another way, it's way less than most Harleys.  And I'd ride this in a heartbeat over any Harley.

My sister was super happy when they opened up in the mall there. Then I told her the connection between Black Creek Coffee & this forum, small world.

Eye-watering price, but you'd be one of the few owners.

I've been to maybe 8 or 9 bike meets so far, and this is the first I've seen in the wild.  There are usually 3 or 4 of the comparably priced Ducati Diavel at each meet.

Wife decided she just wanted to bang on de drum all day.  Good by me. Rode out just after sunrise - still nice and cool and not much traffic.  Don't have to ride very far to reach some very pretty spots.
