That is such a cool little bike, congrats to your wife!!! My buddies and I were thinking about getting some groms and terrorizing our little town lol

Cheers. Grom terror gang would be so cool.

I didn't know you bought a Monkey.  looks awesome!

There's never a bad day on  a motorcycle

Cheers.  It's my wife's bike.  She got her M2 middle of last summer, but there were no Monkeys to be had for the remainder of 2022.  We stumbled across this one at a dealership in January - the guy who ordered it backed out when he couldn't get it in red.  Right place, right time.  ;D

cool seat design and side bags

The seat is just ridiculously comfy.

Not even close. A bit past 90 degrees, I'd say.  As it started snowing about an hour after my ride  ::) the pic of me on the bike will have to wait.

Answered my question: I guess I should have looked it up. Honda can make a bike under 225lbs !

Took my bike out for it's first spin of the season this morning.  After riding the Monkey, it feels like it has about 9000hp.  :rofl2: No need to upgrade.  ;D

Nice. I was able to sneak out on Friday for a shake out cruise. Mostly spent time in a transit lot doing some hard enduro.  ;D It seems every year my preference to be on two wheels vs four grows.

 If Genesis #2 holds up as well as Genesis #1, I won't even contemplate another car for the foreseeable future. I can see myself getting a CT 125 Trail to go mini moto touring with my wife, though. Bikes are just a ridiculous amount of fun.

Varies by location. We've had several heavy spring rainfalls to wash away the salt and dirt from winter. Roads are fine - at least in the suburbs. I haven't yet ventured out into the country.

You need to learn too ride in ALL conditions.

Because you just never know what the road will be like.

Are you going to get off the bike and push it if you don't like the road conditions? Caught in rain? Dusty road? Detour onto gravel?

Honestly, I'm more concerned about drivers not being used to seeing bikes early in the season vs road conditions.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

My bike is currently on desert knobbies (albeit 1/2 worn)  so not too worried about gravel. I spend a good chunk of time off road locking up the the front and rear anyhow so a little gravel slide is no big deal. Remember this golden rule. A front can steer or brake but not both.   ;)

Pretty good turnout for a random Monday night, and what with lingering snow/slush/salt piles looming in the parking lot.  ;D

This is the primary Oakville Thursday night bike gathering location at a Tim Horton's. So I was pleasantly surprised to see so many out so early in the season on a Monday night.

Though mid-summer there would be many times more bikes. I particularly enjoy the Italian section of the parking lot where the Ducatis, Apprilias and Moto Guzzis hang out.

And there is a Fireblade in fairly regular attendance, along with a ZH2 SE. Good fun.

Never seen a Monkey there, though - so I'll have to fix that.  ;D

First ride for Mrs. J on her new bike.   Mostly in parking lot, but some on the road as well.  She definitely felt rusty, what with the better part of a year having passed since she took her course, but she did amazingly well.  The grin lasted long after the ride.
