I tend to ride bikes with a plastic guard over a metal bar (bark buster etc) and find I can ride down to low single digits on the road with nothing more than a thin motocross glove. Wind is the enemy. Block the wind and hands are warm (To a point). In the real cold stuff these help.

I think I ride slow too. Typically on road no faster than 80- 105 km/h. Fast enough for knobbies.

That's right in the zone for most of my riding - and feels plenty fast enough on tight, narrow country roads.  Faster on the highway, though - don't want to get passed by 18-wheelers.  ;D

Similar concept, but they make windproof, insulated muffs for sleds, bikes, atvs. Had a set...worked well. Not aesthetically nice..but hands toasty.

Never looked back after I started using Warm N Safe heated gear.

Muffs are OK but I absolutely detest thick insulated gloves. No brake and clutch feel.

My main complaint. I'll be trying out the new pair tomorrow morning - hopefully they work out.

Yep!

It's why I like the heated liners.

Super thin. And you pick what glove to wear with them.

Although heated grips are the way to go..and aren't terribly expensive.

First clear look at the 2023 Honda Hornet.  I am..... underwhelmed.  It's okay and all, but paint in green and you've got a Kawasaki Z650.  That's not a bad thing in and of itself, I was just hoping for something a bit more unique and attractive.  At least they didn't beat it with an ugly stick... cough.... Yamaha MT..... cough....

Was just looking at it.  Honestly, it looks decent, but like I wouldn't be able to tell you really the difference from the previous models and this one.  They didn't really push the envelop for the Hornet.

I wonder where the new parallel twin 755 leaves the 650 inline-4? I'm guessing this makes them a bit more price competitive with the MT and the Z, although those two have come up in price a little while the CB650F has remained still.

Good question.  I haven't heard anything about dropping the 650 in line 4, which they currently use in two models.

The Hornet is certainly very different in terms of design from the CB650R and 100R and more in line with the CB500f. I guess the now alternate with each successive bump in displacement between the "neo sports cafe" design language of the CB300 650 100, and whatever the heck they call this with the 500 and 750.

Pretty underwhelming styling, though it keeps with the previous gens UJM styling ethos.

The star here is the engine. Basically Honda's take on KTM's 790/890 engine, widely regarded as one of the best in all of motorcycling.

I'll look for it in some type of adventure/dual sport bike.  Allegedly Honda will be bringing another nameplate back, Transalp, and it will likely find a place there.

Just a GLORIOUS evening for bike night at Tim's yesterday. About 18 degrees and no wind. Pretty big turnout that these pics only glimpse.
