Thanks guys, it was a lot of fun, haven't went on an a decent ride in months.
As far as the YZ250X goes, the boy loves it. I spent some time on it. The power delivery is very smooth for a 2 stroke and the bike feels light and playful. The engine isn't smooth like my 450, but even most 450's aren't compared to the Honda (I've spend time on 450 Kawis, Yammies, and Suzukis).
A couple issues with the bike. The carb was leaking fuel through the overflow, but I have that sorted. Float adjustment didn't help much but cleaning the seat did. The more major item is the rear shock. Its shot. Dampening is almost non existent. How I didn't notice this prior to agreeing on purchase, I don't know, but I'm a little miffed at myself and the previous owner. Its not that big of deal, it'll get rebuilt, but just an item to deal with on a recently purchased bike. Oh well, that's used bike purchases I guess.
