Random noob questions.

1) I see multiple bike washing vids that recommend the bike be blown dry after washing.  What parts need the hair salon treatment and what blower do you use?

2) Paddock stands that hoist the rear wheel for chain cleaning - how do you know which one fits your bike and does your bike have to have those spool bobbins (or whatever they are called)?

3) Trickle chargers for winter storage - are they all the same thing or are there some that are better and if so which ones?

1. Not really for a modern bike. Just dry it with a microfibre cloth and run the engine for a few mins.
2. Get one that has adjustable width. You should get bobbins with a frame slider kit.
3. Get one of the Noco Genius range from CT, they go on offer for 25% off every now and again. The larger ones are better/more powerful, and get one that can also do Lithium Ion like this: https://www.canadiantire.ca/en/pdp/noco-genius10-battery-charger-maintainer-desulfator-0111984p.html#srp

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Here's an example of the frame slider kit that I got for the FZ-09:

https://www.oesaccessories.com/store/p822/FZ-09_MT-09_Front_%26_Rear_Frame_Sliders%2C_Fork_Sliders%2C_Rear_Axle_Sliders%2C_%26_Spools_2017-2020.html

two sliders for the frame, one for the swingarm, one for the forks, and one set of spools too.  See if you can find something like this for your bike.

What weight of bike? If under 300 lbs I really like scissor stands to bring bike up to height to work on. If you just want rear tire lift then 3Bob has pointed you in right direction. With regards to battery charging . If a lithium then get a lithium compatible charger. Lithiums really don't discharge so trickling is not necessary and lastly. NEVER trickle your lithium  if below freezing and never charge when you are not around. Check battery temp as it charges. Some bad incidents with lithium charging that have burned houses to the ground.

Cheers gents - much appreciated!  Under 300lb seems unlikely.
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

My bike didn't have a place to attach bobbins in the rear without drilling through the frame so I opted for something like this instead which had the L bracket but also forks should I choose to get bobbins in the future. $95. I would say it's good for a bike that's up to 500 lb.

Kawasaki is developing hybrid motorcycles that are capable of being used in EV mode where zero emissions vehicles are required. The battery should probably be large enough that one can ride 25km on battery power in the city which would be at most a 2-3 kW battery pack. I wonder if it’ll be a plug-in hybrid then?

https://youtu.be/BBf3eHhfW3k

Three mode: engine only, EV, and hybrid. If no hard requirement for zero emissions centres, I would forego engine only. Hopefully a fourth option is available, EV and go into hybrid mode when speeds of battery levels require the gas engine to turn on. I assume hard EV mode will prevent the gasoline engine from turning on to avoid fines.

This makes sense to me as electric motorcycle range suffers dramatically on the highway compared to cars. Damon Hypersport for example uses about 5 kWh per 100km in city riding but that increases to 7 KWh and 9 kWh per 100 kWh at 96 and 115 km/h respectively. So an opportunity to never use a drop of gas for day to day use while having no range anxiety on the highway.

at 0:16, you can see a CHAdeMO connector (DC Fast Charge) originally developed for Japanese market but dying anywhere else
