Too rich for my blood!  I was waiting for your Show and Shine of this bike.

I think the next new KTM I'll buy will be the 490 SM..if they make it.

I was at my local shop stocking up on extra parts due to hit and miss supply chain issues. The older I get the more extra parts I have in the garage and/or truck depending on the trip. Tires, brake pads, chain, sprockets etc. I am good to go now. One thing struck me. Nearly all his floor models had sold tags on them and not many more coming for the year. Yikes (Husky, Gasgas dealer.) Going to be a busy summer.

A buddy of mine is looking for a quad, specifically a Yamaha. He went to the local dealer, one on the floor with a sold sign. Salesman told him they’re not getting any more 2021 models.

Geez... same as last year then.  I couldn't get any press units to review last year because even the head offices couldn't spare one -- every unit was allocated to dealers, and then some!

Anything recreational is going through the roof for popularity.  Friend of mine bought a SeaDoo at the end of '18 season.  Rode 60-hrs' worth in '19 and sold it in '20 for more than he paid new!!

While waiting for the snow to melt I seem to have developed a hoarding problem. Last year shops ran out of tubes, bearings, seals so of course I stocked up on all of that so I have spare everything. I think, no I know I have a problem. ;D

Also ordered some Klim Tactical Pants as every year I up the safety gear. I went with the pant over the short due to the knee braces I am now wearing. Long seems better so I don't have to fuss with separate brace socks. We will see. Anyone use these?  They also have a synthetic chamois which should help with ass numbness on long pavement stretches.

Bohn were warm (for me).

Forcefield OK (for me) under summer pants.  I'd say the airflow will obviously be affected by the weight of your top layer pants. Very premium feeling. It was their top shelf "Air" product (CE Level 2).  It had their "BeCool" baselayer with level 2 armor. Sweat wicking mesh.  See photo. Good stuff.  Expensive.  Compression was very nice.  I love their shirt, but already have one of their harness/chest/back protectors.

I'm a bit of a Forcefield slappy now.

If you're super bored and want to read a test :  https://www.mcgearhub.com/motorcycle-pants/forcefield-pro-pant-x-v-2-air-review-test/

That was a good read and look like they would work well for a more street oriented mission. I need no pads below the thighs as I have knee braces and then a high motorcross boot. The only reason I looked at pants was I can ditch the brace sleeves. Damn riding got complicated. ;D

These braces which I highly recommend. Stiff and light as hell. Pod K8

Yea, Forcefield has some shorts with pads.  Forget what they're called.

But really like their armor.

lol. The 520 replaced a 2000 DRZE. The DRZ was a good bike.  The 520 got bored and stroked and lives as a 570.  ;D
