Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

A new Busa is coming on the 5th!
All new or refresh?
Tough to say!
The Busa has pretty much been unchanged since it first came on the market. How long ago was that? Early 2000s?

They eventually added ABS brakes. I don’t recall it having traction control though. But hey for the outgoing price of $10k it was a ridiculously good value.

$10k?...they are $15,699 (or did you mean back in the day?).

The local dealers were selling brand new ones for just a smidge over $10k. One of our forum members grabbed one.

i'm sure it's a great bike, but who buys these???...you need to have watermelon sized balls to ride them...i mean, there's cheaper ways to kill yourself if that's what you are looking for.  ;D

in all seriousness, these always have been an epic bike...but not very common around here...probably something like 230-250 HP?

i'm talking about the new one coming...i think it's predecessor had 208 HP?...it looks like it may be moving up in engine size too (to 1450cc?), which is why i'm thinking the HP number may move up with it...even if it is in the 200-220 HP range, that's still bananas.

Rumour is the engine in the background is going into something. Anyone got the low down?  I don’t follow bikes close enough to know.

This came in the mail today. It remains to be seen when or whether I will have a bike.  ;D But I've now got a lid and will take the course and get licensed - so definitely something to look forward to in the spring.

Did everyone else feel that a full face helmet felt claustrophobic af the first time they put one on?
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

it was so long ago, i don't remember...but if it did, it goes away fast...your vision is obstructed slightly (in terms of peripheral vision) with a full face helmet, but you get used to it (and should always be doing shoulder checks, using the mirrors etc) to know where other vehicles are around you at all times (so if you need to make a quick lane change, you can do it much easier)...the full face helmet does provide better protection from the elements (as well as banging your head) so it's still a good style to use...you'll be so excited when you get riding that any feelings of claustrophobia subside quickly...adrenaline makes things go away fast.  :)

new Suzuki Hayabusa...looks like the engine remained the same (in terms of size), but does mention a boost in power.

I have not had that sense from a full face helmet. If anything, I have liked the sense of security it fosters even if it was a false sense of security.

Yeah, I'm kinda with you.  I like "hiding" in my helmet.  ha ha

That said, most recently, I went to a more "ADV style" helmet with a larger visor opening.  The net result was more noise and only slightly better peripheral vision.

You get used to it, I like the flip up for glasses, but otherwise find it similar

Other than keeping wind and bumblebees off your face, they can be useful things occasionally

Great choice. If it doesn't wobble, or rip your ears off, it's the right size.  The foam packs down a bit after the first year.
