^^^ Bummer!
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

2021 Ducati Monster just dropped this week BTW. Available in black or red.

No more trellis frame I see...

Not super crazy IMO.

110hp or so. Light at 414lbs.

Should be a great performer...probably around KTM 790 performance but less than the 890R performance IMO.

Yeah that's not crazy power - but power to weight is probably similar to the FTR. And I vastly prefer the styling of the Indian and the Triumph. The Ducati has much more of an enraged insect look to it.  The new CB100R also appeals, but is likely too much bike.

Have a peek at the CB650R. Family styling similar to the 1000R and has a fantastic I4 engine.

Around $9k, new.

Don't think I've posted this yet.   Riding 2-up with my wife along the Gulf of St. Lawrence.   The tide had risen since we went to the point making the return a bit more fun as we had to ride in the softer sand at times

I do like that!
I also really liked what would be (probably) the predecessor. The Honda 599 Hornet.

Put some KMs on one a few summers ago.

Yep, but it was the FTR that really led me down this path. Also watched a video review, which obviously shows more than a single static photo.

One thing I do not like nearly as well on the Triple or the Honda 4 is the sound as compared with the rumble of a liquid cooled V twin.

Ya, that's a real thing.

My least favorite sound is a parallel twin. And I was disappointed when KTM said they were coming out with parallel twins.

Fortunately, with some voodoo magic, they SOUND like a V twin, and I was pleased!

I can't wait to hear if their upcoming 490 twins sound like Vs.

This would be my idea of a cool Kawasaki street cruiser.  I've never liked the regular styling-over-function found in the Vulcan lineup.
