^^Looks fantastic, Bob!  Glad you're digging the bike...it surely is one of the best, if not THE best off road bikes available.

Why were your usual trails blocked off?

He ran over too many kids in the playground.

LOL, I'm not sure. They've been available for biking and stuff for years, the land owner must be finally wanting to do something with the land. The ones I found nearby are even better. Some sandy trails, some serious jungle, and then a wide open sandy playground that is huge! I'm sure this will also be gone in a few years so I'm going to make the most of it.

These hand guards aren't the ones I wanted, but will do for now to protect the levers. I prefer them angled down a little so that they aren't up near my wrists when standing. I'll get better ones over the winter.

Choosing a car based on reliability is like choosing a wife based solely because she is punctual. There is more to it than that...

Went light off-roading today with the Super Ténéré . It went well, bike is heavy but within it’s limits it’s fine.

Looks great. Loading the truck in a few minutes to go extend my secret stash of single track. Heads up there seems to be a shortage of decent rear off road rubber. Damn Covid. I am flipping all my rubber until stocks replenish.

Put on 50km through the Nesbit forest just north of Saskatoon with junior yesterday.  Both bikes ran great, so that was a plus.  Quads and side by sides were out in full force.  I nearly smacked into a modded side by side meeting him around a blind corner.  I was taking it slow in first as I knew the risk.  He was wider than the actual trail.    Another bad side effect of the heavier machines is the endless kilometers of "whoops" that they create.  They are fun for a bit, but I'm too old to ride them for hours.  :censor: me.  I'm becoming an old prick but I everybody should just ride bikes. :P

The trails around here (MI) have bollards at the trail heads.  If they quads don't fit between, they aren't allowed on.

^^Thruxton R seems rather large in comparison.

He's currently into naked bikes....so 2 is better than 1 I guess!

Every time they release this bike here, I get pissed off...because I sooooo want this to be a street bike....

My fingers (and toes) are crossed that the new KTM 490 SM comes here for 2022.
