Well....I've got about 1500kms on the new scoot......and I got my first MIL light...an ABS light.

German vehicles are crap..... >:(  they seem unable to master the simple, little things....
I'm sure a part of a brain told you that getting a FGS was bad idea.

ABS is one thing I would expect to never fail.

2 days and 350k kms of forest service road, two track, single track and make your own track in the Monashees. We were successful in linking a number of areas over some ridges to make a big loop although a 15L tank+ is definitely required. Working on a tour of BC that may or may not ever get published lol. The scale from valley bottom to highland tops is so huge, always blows me away. Didn't really stop for pics so not much to choose from. This was after a 5500' elevation climb that tops out just about at treeline. Always check the cell at the tops lol.

That looks awesome!

Entering a 24hr endurance harescamble (35 mile lap) for late October in Western Washington. Debating whether to run it as a three man team (faster more aggressive riding) or entering as a solo ironman. One thing is for certain: Time to go shopping to upgrade the lighting.  ;D and I need tires....

just noticed Indian has a new bike, the FTR1200 and FTR1200S...looks pretty sweet...$16,500 - $20,000 depending on trim and colour ($20k model shown below).

What's the markup on these things?   :o

$16k-$20k is around what i'd expect it to sell for...off the top of my head, the closest thing to something like that may be a Kawasaki Z900RS SE...it's also a great bike, but a little more "retro" looking (on purpose), and has a smaller engine (i'm assuming less HP/TQ)...this Indian FTR, especially in S trim has upgraded suspension, brakes (and maybe a few other things?)...the BMW R1250R series likely competes in a similar class as well, and they're $17,400...and let's face it, Indian has gone bankrupt a few times over the last few decades...i'd say a bike like this might actually get people to buy their bikes.

Likely the last dirt scoot of the year. -10C this morning, about 6C while we were riding. Beauty of a day.

I actually went for a ride today.  It's been too long.

Guess where this is?  That's the 401 on the left, I'm on the South side.

Utility corridor?

Yeah, that part is.   It's part of a bunch of local trails.
I'm less than 5km from my house.

Thats handy. Your pic reminded me of a conversation I had on Friday with s dual sport guy who was saying it was time to retire the BMW 450X like yours. Parts availability was getting tough. More aftermarket stuff and sprockets etc. He was coming from Baja with it.
