Yep classic bike. The engine has roots in the 1966 250 6 cylinders GP bike Honda was racing at the time. I was fortunate enough to see that bike running at the Montreal Grand Prix in the early 80's. Somehow this 250cc bike was louder than any F1 which was there on that day.

Very little is known of the discussion that transpired after the very first mention of a six-cylinder production streetbike based on that crazy, 250cc RC165 racer.

If you've heard a CBX at full song, you'll want one.  Seriously.  I had a 6-2 pipe that sounded so freakin' amazing.

Not me!

A guy I knew had one....felt heavier than the 600lbs that it's supposed to be.  I'm guessing CoG isn't terribly low on it.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

That is true.  One of the loudest bikes I've EVER heard.

KTM 390 Duke SOLD and picked up by 16 year old girl.  First bike.  Paid all with her own money she's saved working part-time jobs.

Brings a tear to my eye....

So I test rode the CanAm Ryker and Spyder RT-Limited Sunday. The only video I recorded was my post ride reaction because Canada Post misdelivered a new helmet cam I ordered:

But in essence, have you ever wondered what it was like to ride a street legal Mario Kart? That’s exactly what the CanAm Ryker feels like. I was smiling the entire way. I want one so bad. The 900 felt plenty fast and I thought the CVT was appropriate for this ride.

The CanAm Spyder RT-Limited was the polar opposite, a bigger engine which felt more like a cruising engine than a go fast engine, a weird clutchless manual shift with automatic downshifting when coming to a stop, a surprisingly sweet stereo system, and pretty much everything else you can think of, didn’t quite excite me as much. I want the Ryker.

Why did you sell it, and what are you getting next?

For the street?

A 690 Duke will run away and hide from either....

Will it? Depends how long the straights are  I suppose. With motard wheels it would close.

The 500 weighs about 245 and uncorked is around 63 HP. A 180lb rider gives 425 lbs/63 HP= 6.75 lb/HP.
The 690 weighs about 322 and makes 74 HP (stock). Same 180lb rider gives 502 lbs/74 HP = 6.78 lb/HP.

Straightline 690 for sure especially once air resistance comes into play. The lighter weight of the 500 would make it more nimble in the curvey stuff.

You buying a 690?
