It is small though, so make sure it's the right size for what you want.

Found my next bike, the CB650R fills in the gap between the CB300R and CB1000R nicely.

My best mate had a 919 Hornet. I loved it so hard. Another friend had a 250 Hornet - grey-market import from Japan. Loved that one too.

Yea, the 919 was nice.

I though the 599 was "just right". Felt so tiny...and with that fantastic and indestructible engine.

I'd ride one no problem. Such an underrated bike.

Yeah, this is pretty interesting.  Definitely fills a big void in the line up.  Looks plenty cool and 95 hp is nothing to sneeze at.  Bravo Honda!

Yeah, 95hp won't take on the liter bikes, but in a mid sized bike like that, it would be hella fun. I understand the power delivery is expected to be sweet too, like the 599 but a little more low-mid to add to the enjoyment of the engine.

The old 599 made 95HP, so I'm not sure how much more low-mid they will get..will be interesting to see.

Really?  That's impressive for all those years ago on a nekkid bike.

Honda also revised the CBR650R (formerly known as the CBR650F) for 2019. Looks a lot better with the dual LED headlights to match it's CBR 500R and CBR 600RR siblings, also comes with a slightly revised 649cc engine to deliver more power, more low end torque, and better fuel economy than the 2018 to match the CB650R, inverted forks, a small weight loss, slipper clutch, traction control, looks like they separated the banana seat with separate front and back although it still looks like a one piece from afar, and new digital instrument cluster. Man two great bikes, can't decide which one is better. I think I am more of a sport bike than a naked bike kind of guy, but my one complaint about the fairings on the CBR650R is that it hides that oh so sexy 4 to 1 exhaust header.

Yeah I understand peak output is the same, just a little fatter in the mid range.

If I were bike shopping right now the little Honda and the Yam triple would probably be the two at the top of my list.  The Yamaha has a little more oomph but from what I’ve read the Honda has a more refined chassis. And as much as I love that beefy triple, I’ll always have a soft spot for Honda in-line fours.

Yep...had a CBR600F2...and spent several rides on my buddies Hornet.

A great mill. They last forever too.

Motorcycle manufacturers are moving towards that truncated rear end. I do wish they used the tire hugging fender/license plate holders that other motorcycles are getting, including Honda's own CB1000R.

I haven't had a chance to ride an inline-4 of anything yet but I bet it sounds amazing.

That triple just has so much fizz to it.  So much character.  It sounds bananas, especially with an aftermarket pipe, and has such wonderful mid-range punch.  If there can be such a thing, Hondas seem over-engineered to a fault.  They wonderfully capable, but lacking in character.

I don't know why, but that looks like it will be incredibly boring to ride.

I can manage to have fun on a scooter. A bike is a bike is a bike to me.
