That doesn’t sound fun for 185cm tall me, I’ll probably just grind the peg feelers out to gain an extra few degrees of lean angle lol. Riding on busy multi lane highways doesn’t appeal to me one bit anyway for many reasons so maybe not a big deal. Is it easy to swap in and out on track days?
The peg feelers themselves can be removed quite easily with just a spanner. The rear sets themselves, not really something you want to swap in and out, kind of a one-and-done modification; plus I also have inverse shift and don't want to go back to standard shifting unless necessary (rental track bike for example, that was a PAIN). I have the stock rearsets still in my spare parts bin, but don't know why.

I need to replace my chain (quite a bit rusty :(  ) but don't know how much more riding I will get in before the days get too short and cold.

You guys know linguistically I'm a mixed bag. I have always called it a spanner (versus a wrench), in the same way I've always called it fuel/petrol (because gas is not a liquid !). Blame too many years of watching Top Gear  ;D

well, it's only called "gas" as it is short for gasoline...also, gasoline evaporates quite rapidly if left outside (like spilled on a driveway, for example), especially when it is warm outside.

You’re right, it’s a little more dangerous than brand new tires on a brand new bike.  :stick:

Interesting on the tires. Not sure about that plan, have you seen the average 'Chuck driver?  I plan on riding the Husky during the winter but not on pavement and I am mounting a set of these:

I average one driver that tries to change into my lane, like while I'm there, per day.

 ;D

Haha. I'll eat my words if I crash. I'm not going to go out if the roads are covered in compact snow/ice, heck a fellow rider in my office said he crashed in a corner because of de-icer on the road. That stuff is like teflon.

If we get a dry fall it is possible to get to about Dec 1 in Calgary. If we get lots of snow then it is ski season, if not then it is a month or two of studded off road riding.  At that point it is getting cold and the bike comes inside the house (walkout basement, don't tell the wife lol) for a tear down and maintenance. o

I forgot I'm on the Indian email list. Got a blurb about the FTR a couple of days ago. Looks interesting.

I really liked the look of the original Katana. That's a nice tribute.

Original Katana GSX1100S from 1981. It was an eye catcher back in the day.

Profited from the weather and took an autumn ride.

I don't set a particular destination or route, just go by feel. Explored a lot of the rural countryside of the Landkreis Bad Kreuznach, a bunch of the scenery was pretty epic, just had no place to park and snap photos. Ended the ride at my friend's football game, after which we went to his place, a few friends came over and we watched...........American football, over some steaks.

Oh, the irony of the last part

Now that looks like better riding than the autobahn

I have to ride the autobahn (A3 -> A60) an hour an a half to get there....and back. At least it wasn't too cold in the evening. But it was worth it !
