Husqvarna FE501 coming soon. It took a lot to pull me away from a PDS system so we will see what the linkage is all about.

So you also bought a set of motard rims too, right?   ;)
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

So I was going to the parkade ramp about to turn into the motorcycle parking area when I saw it was crowded and it would be better for me to back in. So I stopped mid turn down that ramp. You can all guess what happened next.

Luckily my foot was there to stop the bike from going completely down.

I've never had so many compliments on a bike as I've had with this Duke!

People are really drawn to it.

Same here. Most were cops, EMTs, and firefighters though.  ;D

I have only sat on the Vitpilen so that one. The Svartpilan on the web looks even better. Urban dirt bike like?

I don't like the looks of the 401....but DO like the looks of the 701. Neither riding position of the 401 look great IMO....but the Svartpilen looks best of the two.

^The 401 looks like two different bikes crashed into each other and bits are still tangled together.

Love the tire hugging fender trend. So much better than the whale tails.

Got out for another 100kms or so. Did lots of 90 degree turns on the concessions. Run up to the corner fast, kick it down 2-3 gears..as soon as I started to turn, full throttle in the meat of the torque and let the tire bite and grab traction. Also did some corners more aggressively. Maybe about 6mm until I'm on the very edge of tire. No issues.

Had it stall on me once as I was down shifting to a stop. Odd.

Also ran at a steady 80-90km/h to check economy. 3.2l/100km. Pretty frugal.

I also still have 6mm of chicken strip remaining. I need to get on a track.

3.2 L/100km is really good. The best I can muster out of my CB300F is 3.4 L/100km.

There are some bad riders out there. For about 5km down a busy 80 k km/h zone I had a rider hanging in my blind spot (about equal with my rear bumper). Bright new white leathers (check), new white small displacement bike (check). Hanging in a trucks blind spot (check).  Rider seemed unwilling to pass me or drop drop a few lengths in case I switched lanes and didn't see him. I don't think those leathers are going to be shiny white for long.

Yesterday walking back to my car & waiting at the intersection to cross the street saw the 2 bikes I've been kinda considering purchasing lately... KTM Duke 390 in orange & a Triumph Street Triple in white...

I'm driving home from work last night...it's 3am. Since I had to get milk, I take the back roads home (I'm in my car). I see a bike pulled over and a car pulled over. Thought it was an accident. I stop to check things out. Girl with bike exclaims "You're the first person to stop! "

Turns out she's a new rider. Driving a full size Harley. She got a low oil warning and wisely decided to stop. Called a buddy to bring her oil. However, since it's really dark here, she left the lights on for safety and bike doesn't have enough juice to start. Can I help? Sure..I have tools and jumper cables in the car.

Proceed to get to battery (she helped..knew how to remove battery cover). Jump bike and it starts. During our brief convo, she mentioned the cost of finding 20W50 at 3am in the morning. So I give her one of my Amsoil business cards. I wish her well as she proceeds to put the battery cover, seat on, etc. I leave.

15 minutes later, I'm nearly home. My cell phone rings. "Hello Ron? It's Kim! "  "Who? " I ask. "Kim..you just jumped my bike". Oh..ok. She's nearly in tears BTW. She explains that as she went to leave she stalled the bike. It won't start. She's stranded. Again. I tell her to be calm and I'll be there in 15 minutes.

So I drive back and perform the same thing again. I caution her to give it a bit more gas then she needs when leaving stops. I jump it and wait until she leaves this time..in case. She leaves and is on her way.

Was glad to help out. She offered me money..I declined.

Was nice to help someone out in a jam.
