Looks like someone has been cleaning their bikes with a toothbrush!

You could park those in the living room for the winter

I don't know what it is about the bike design / crash bars, but it lies down really flat, which makes it really hard to get your back under it. My knees were fully bent, plus the sand was a good 6"-8" deep which meant my feet kept slipping.

Don’t you have a woods bike for riding that stuff?  :P
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

That not woods worthy of a 300 lol.  Bob had the right bike there and kudos for riding if off pavement.

Thanks KTM!

Yeah, I did get a gash on my leg somehow, not sure when exactly, but it's not too bad. Next time I might take my knee/shin guards and put them on when I get there.

Felt great the next day, like I'd been at the gym lifting 400lbs!  :rofl2:

The Vstrom was like a tree going over. So top heavy. You find out pretty fast their natural home is on pavement, maybe gravel

Plus when it falls it lands directly on the tank, without guards it would get dented up pretty quick. The turn signals shatter as they are made from the most brittle plastic known to man. Add the oil filter as a skid plate and it takes a fair bit of farkeling just to start

Aaaaaaand. ..... just got a call from Sturgess that a Trident is due in end of next week-ish that isn't spoken for.  ;D

Which I 100 per cent knew would happen.  :)

I'm still completely happy with my choice though.

don't worry about it...absolutely nothing wrong with what you got...those two bikes are basically THE bikes to get in this class...can't go wrong with either one...as a bonus, Honda bikes are as reliable as an anvil...i'm sure the Triumph is good too, but i mean...Honda...it's the Toyota of motorcycles for reliability.  ;D

^^^ Oh for sure. Like I said I fully expected a Trident would show up late in the season. But I didn't want to wait until after Labor Day to start riding. And I am completely tickled with the Honda.
