Police called to tell me my bike was vandalized Friday afternoon. It was found on its side. This was at the Jasper Ave motorcycle parking zone so someone had the guts to do this on a very busy street. Dropped on both sides. Windshield destroyed. License plate ripped off and recovered nearby.

That blows, sorry man.  Hope insurance takes care of it for you with zero hassle.

^That's garbage dkaz, sorry to hear.

Are you still back in Kelowna working, or in Edmonton again?  Or just visiting Edmonton?

That stinks. I know people help themselves to sitting on bikes. Maybe they tipped it over after.

I had a person do that to my bike. They sat on it, melted part of their boot to the exhaust and dropped it.  >:(

That really is awful.
Do you have comprehensive insurance?  It was only $10 to add to my DRZ for some reason.

That sucks man.  People can be awful sometimes.  Hope your insurance makes you whole.  Maybe it's the universe telling you that you need to upgrade your bike.

Wow, sorry to see this. Assholes

Could you imagine if you would have caught them doing that?

I had some dummy knock one of mine over once, likely from sitting on it, and one they tried to steal by jimmying the key. Never saw either, but it would not have been pretty if I did

A grubby bike cover seemed to be the best deterrent

Thanks all. I haven't made the insurance claim yet. I can get a windshield off Aliexpress for under $30 shipped. The exhaust is scracthed up. The turn signals scuffed although the left side is already droopy from a previous owner dropping it on that side. Mirrors scuffed. Is that worth an insurance claim? Hmmm.

I'm going to call the Money Mart across the street and see if there are any cameras point that way.

Did they drop it onto both sides though? Seems weird if they did  ???

Finally got the new tire(s) on!

Bridgestone Battlecross X30 for me, and moved my 1 season old Dunlop AT81 to my son's bike, to replace his perished front tire.

And put in some HD innertubes.

My hands and shoulders still ache, my god what a job...

^Nice.  It is tough work swapping tires on the bikes.

I'll be putting a new rear on my boys KX250F here before the season starts.  Going to try a Maxxis M7305 in this case.  Junior did a bunch of research and assures me its a good tire, ha ha.  We'll see.  The Michelin Starcross MS3 we are removing currently has over 70 hrs on it and still looks decent. Amazing considering its a medium/soft compound.

I've got a Michelin Starcross 5 sitting in the garage that I'll be putting on the front of my bike.

OMG, Bob! Indeed a PITA.

I used to throw my tires on the roof and let them bake in the summer sun before trying to spoon them on.

Made it slightly less miserable.
