It's crazy the lean angles the current GP bikes and tires allow these days..  :o

Watch most astounding is the contact patch is only about 5cm long and 10cm wide!

Motorcycle tires have so much more grip than 90% of riders give them credit for, although to be fair there are a lot more hazards to deal with outside of a closed circuit like sand, oil/diesel, etc.

I've been a bit guilty of that on the newest generation tires in the wet.

I was an enthusiastic rain rider on my SM. Found out guys were using Roadsmarts as wet race tires on the cheap.

Threw a set on my 690 and was absolutely shocked by the grip.

Awesome! Now if only Yamaha would release an RD350.

People would be calling for murder with the thought of a four stroke RD.

Thank you! It is cool, but I like the stock appearance of an RD350. Have you checked out the Jawa, also launched in India?

I have not seen the Jawa. Will check it out.

Also, that's an RZ350...look at the engine.

And not everything was made by that guy from scratch (opposed to what the article says)

Those are definitely Jim Lomas expansion chambers.

My dad had a Honda CB 350 way back in the day.  That bike had the quintessential standard naked bike look.  It was what inspired my interest in bikes in the first place.

I just about fell off that bike in grade 2 along the 401 in Scarborough, near where we lived at the time.  Those were the days.  I think of it every time I pass by the 401 and McCowan.

I thought my daughter might form the same memories about machinery.  But she still seems to think a car is a car is a car.  I went wrong somewhere.

I think my 7 year old daughter inherited some of my enthusiasm for cars and trucks.  She always points out other Toyota trucks, she can recognize Fords, Rams, and Chevy's, and always asks me if Toyota makes the best truck (God I love her, lol).

And to keep this post on topic, here is a picture of her going for a ride on her Opa's Harley a few years ago.

Ok. The expansion chambers look particularly nice.
