I'm sure I'll have issues with lack of power.  I like to be able to snap the throttle coming out of a corner and being able to cross the bike up...not sure the 390 will be potent enough to do it.

You've ridden it before, haven't you?

was looking online and this dealer in Langley seems to have ordered a pile of 2017s...looks so nice.   :)

http://wwwa.autotrader.ca/a/KTM/390+Duke/Langley/British+Columbia/5_36123874_20171030202904458/?ms=motorcycles_atvs&showcpo=ShowCPO&orup=23_100_43

Ugh not a fan of Holeshot Motorsports. I don't know how they manage to charge so much on doc admin freight prep etc. and still be a high volume dealer.

The previous version.

And not in the manner I describe above, obviously. :)

When I was at the local Husky shop yesterday I sat on their new Vitpilen 401. Neat bike and Wow!  half the price of my FE501  :o I can't believe the popularity and the price of the FEs but they fly out the door regardless. It must be that you can't trust buying a used one.

The seating position is much more aggressive than the previous version. You're much more over the front tire.

Still need to ride it...but I'm beat and wind is gusting to 90km/h here.

Cool ride ! Congrats :)

I've seen a ton of KTMs rolling around my area- arguably the most popular sportster brand, with BMW being the local favourite for touring bikes. Nice rides.

IKR? I broke the guy's balls for doing a crappy PDI. Maybe Sir O had a sticker on his bikes tires!

Congratulations man!

I peeled the sticker off of my tires at the dealer. Don't know why they'd miss something like that.

Is your bike white or orange?

The 390 Duke was the other bike I considered. My wife commented that they are very orange.  :rofl2:

I've ridden the previous gen. Handling is telepathic! Power is very good given the light weight. Suspension is premium and not budget. Bike punches above its weight (faster than my CB500x was). Feels premium. Nice touches bikes in this class don't have (all switch gear is lighted). TFT screen on the 17 with Bluetooth connectivity and handlebar controls is fantastic...get darker/lighter based on ambientlight.  Slipper clutch, different ABS modes, etc

There's really lots to like.

Interesting. I really wish they had one last year. I haven't seen any demo days planned for 2018 yet. Actually I haven't seen anything from Honda or Suzuki either. Yamaha for me is coming up on the 12th and I am demo-ing the BMW G310GS and hopefully G310R as well on the 10th, I think the G310R is also quite aggressive from what I remember at the motorcycle show. I wonder if manufacturers are somehow not seeing any uptick in sales as a result of these demo days? I need to be more like you and buy new bikes lol.

I got the orange bits and a track stand.

There are more bikes from where I bought...special financing rate until end of May.

They are just blowing out the 2017s...but hurry! They won't last forever!

Motorcycle.com just tested the Duke vs BMW.

It wasn't a fair fight...
