I did.  And still do.

Kid didn't have a cell phone so needed a land line in case of him needing to call 911.
How fast is my 911?  Supras sh*t on on me all the time...in reverse..with blown turbos  :( ...

My cell phone is definitely more than a "phone" for me.  From client emails, to accounting apps, to keg tracking apps, my phone is undoubtly my biggest business tool.

Probably 3/4 of your orders are texts or emails

Nope, not 3/4......100% of my orders come via text or email.  Well ok, maybe the odd phone call too, but rare.

Broke my phone (BlackBerry DTEK 50) - the metal rim surround broke off after dropping it several times and landing on the same corner and partially because of me trying yo fix it). The built-in, non-replaceable  battery is done too so forcefully I need to buy a new phone.

Since I can no longer buy a BlackBerry touchscreen, sadly, it's finally time to move on so I ordered a Pixel 3a in a hurry. I know it's a budget phone and don't mind it at all to be honest. I could not justify the double price ($400 vs $800) for Pixel 4. Water resistant and wireless charging are not must have for me and I'm sure the hardware performance is just fine for my use case.

I will miss BlackBerry. They used to be nice devices (loved the Z10) and some of them still are, and the BB10 was a solid OS - perhaps better than Android or iOS. RIP BlackBerry!

Set up my new Samsung S10 today and the camera doesn't work.  Apparently it's a common issue so i spent the afternoon trying all the suggested fixes I could find.  Usually they send me 2 phones but this time only one, so can't compare apples.  Restored everything from old S8 via Smartswitch app with no troubles and all updates applied.  I have access to tech mode but that only relates to RF stats.  Only thing I haven't tried yet is a complete reset but it's brand new so can't see that helping.  :-\

Anybody else have this problem?  Suggestions?

Yeah camera is hosed so it's going back.  Was hoping for a quick fix on a Friday afternoon.  :P

Kinda scary how dependent we're getting on our devices.

So far, so good. I'm a happy camper since I moved my cell service to https://www.publicmobile.ca/ beginning of December 2019.
Gone but not forgotten in chronological order: 2019 Volt, 2013 Volt, 2014 Spark EV, 2012 Volt and many others before...

I still use the Z10. It is a great little phone. The only issue is lack of apps, but I don't use apps. I'm old school and use a phone for calling, texting, some email, and handsfree bluetooth calls with my car. I'll keep it until I finally need some specialty app someday.

It's been pretty seamless for me, too.  I haven't noticed any data slowdowns moving to 3G in my daily driving use.

Yes, lack of apps and Android Auto support were the drivers for change. I don't use a lot of apps but even the basic ones like banking apps have been discontinued by the time I switched to Android. The cherry on top was when I got my GTI in 2016 and wanted to use AA.

I contemplated for some time to get the Motion but it was above my price ceiling for a phone. I watched the market for some time hopping that the price will come down at some point but it never happened and the phone was shortly discontinued and gone from the market (new).

I still have the Z10, spare battery with charging pack... etc.

got a new phone last night...signed up with Freedom and was going to get a Samsung Galaxy S10, but they only had one left...my wife wanted that phone, and it wasn't my first choice, but was such a good deal, i figured i'd just get it too...since they only had one left, i got their last Galaxy S10+...it was a bit more, but the larger screen is likely a bonus for me anyway...seems like a decent enough phone, but haven't really used it yet.

Google sucks at e-commerce it seems.

My phone was ordered on Dec 30, promised on Jan 6-7 but it hasn't arrived yet and Google did not send me any notification about the delay or the new ETA. Worst online purchase in recent times.....
