Yeah I've never lost one either.

But there are other things that could happen, like having it stolen.

If you don't use a cloud...and your phone was stolen...you'd lose all your photos on an iPhone too....what's your point?

I dunno...I prefer the option of having cloud storage PLUS giant, expandable storage. There's no downside.

My point is you should be using the cloud.
They are probably using the cloud and don't even know it  ;D

Do we use more paper than ever?

I think I use less.
we switched our office to paperless almost 2 years ago...no, we aren't 100% paperless, but our primary process is now paperless and our paper use likely dropped 95%...no more printing POs...no more printing orders...no more order folders...i'd like to say the motivation was environmental, but it wasn't...it was efficiency...the environment and cost things were a bonus.

Looks like we're using less but China is using more.

Took a long time to start using less.  They should make paper more expensive!  ;D

Been looking at new phones lately & really like the size of the Galaxy S10e, it's about the same size as my S7, with a bit more screen & a few more features. Since my contract was up with Bell I decided to call customer retention to see what they could do for me. My current plan is $90/month for 4Gb of data & then unlimited Canada wide talk & text. The data is plenty enough as I rarely get to 4Gb. The best Bell could do was charge me $100 for the phone & then $105/month for the phone. At the same time my kids phones were up at Koodo & they were one at $55/month for 500Mb of data & unlimited talk & text & $75/month for 4Gb of data & unlimited talk & text. And both of them have the iPhone SE.

So I started to shop around for plans & realized that prices ARE MUCH more competitive in Quebec, Manitoba & Saskatchewan! It's a rip-off in Ontario for cell phone service compared to other provinces. Then I realized that Videotron (Quebec based company) offers services in Ottawa at a much more competitive rates. I spoke to a good buddy who has a cell phone through them & he's had no issues anywhere with his, and he's using it all over Canada & in Florida as well. Yesterday we went to visit the kiosk in the mall & we all got new phones & plans! The boys both got the iPhone 8 for $0 & their plans are both $79/month for 9Gb of data & unlimited talk & text Canada wide. And then I got the S10e for $0 & my plan is $89/month for 10Gb of data & the unlimited talk & text. But because we set up 3 phones on the same account we get $6 off per line per month for the duration of the contract, which makes the boys plans $73 & mine $83! Plus she gave me another $100 credit on my first bill & free activation fees. So overall my monthly bill for the 3 phones is ~$10 more, but with a lot more data for all 3 of us, especially my youngest who only had 500Mb, lol! In speaking the sales rep we also found out that is we add another phone to the plan we will get an additional $6 off per line for the duration. Bella just got her son a new iPhone XR thru Rogers last week, but is now gonna cancel that plan & add him to this package. His will cost $50 for the phone & he'll have to get the same 10Gb package as mine, but when his gets added we'll be paying $67/month for each of the 9Gb plans & $77/month for each of the 10Gb plans, which will end up saving me $8/month over what I was paying with much better plans.

I'm on Koodo. 6Gb for $40 per month.  But I got there in a roundabout way as conquest from Freedom mobile.

And an e-mail was set from work with this offer from Bell:

•   Bring your Own Cellular Device (phones will not be offered as part of this pilot)
•   $19.05/month for:
o   6 GB of data
o   Unlimited local calling
o   Unlimited texts, including picture texts
o   Low Long-distance rates

It's a two year contract. So tempted.  But I don't know where I would be after the two years.

Only issue with that plan for me is the long distance, I use the Canada wide all the time as I have family scattered throughout the country.

Depends on how often and long you speak to them and what rates are or if they offer addons for unlimited Canada wide calling. $19.05 a month for all that is beyond cheap.

The nice thing about having ample storage on your phone is you don't need to mess about with clouds. ;D

Until you lose your phone and all your stuff is gone.  :P

The number of cell phones I have lost - and I've had a cell phone since pretty much cell phones were a thing = zero.

Yeah I've never lost one either.

But there are other things that could happen, like having it stolen.

And I've never had one stolen, either.  Guess I am just spectacularly good and hanging onto my stuff, while everyone else is losing their phones and having them stolen allatime?  ???  ::)

Now pens - those I can't keep hold of.  But phones?  Maybe that's a concern for those who have their heads in the clouds.  ;D

Also - and this is a little known secret -but you can back up your phone without using a "cloud".  You can use thins thing called "your computer".  True story.  So I'm still not seeing where there is some downside to internal storage, other than "that's not how Apple does it therefore is must suck bigly".
Wokeism is nothing more than the recognition and opposition of bigotry in all its forms.  Bigots are predictably triggered.

Man this article from Bell must've been from between the late 90s to early 2000s. $39 for 200 minutes of Canada Wide calling, what a deal! $199 for 1600 minutes!

Remember the days of navigating the internet through WAP on phones? Don't miss that, in fact I never really ever used it.

Long distance is 1 cent per minute. Or an extra $3 per month for unlimited.
