That interior and dash doesn't look like a 60K+ vehicle to me.  :-\
Old Jag convertible...one itch I won't have to scratch again.

I really don't get why they made it smaller, but I guess the Traverse and Enclave are still there.

No offense, but Justin's "review" reads like a straight-up advertisement written by GM.  Unfortunately becoming more and more common on autotrader reviews.

"The Bad:
interior could use a splash more colour
headlights could be a touch brighter"

That's like the job interview question "what are you weaknesses", and answering "well, I am too much of a perfectionist sometimes..."
Trying to  glorify by faint criticism.

No mention that this Acadia is significantly shorter and narrower than the previous version (probably the biggest reason for the weight savings), with significantly less cargo capacity.  No mention of the reduced towing capacity (from 5200  lbs to 4000).  No mention of the 63K price - a fair chunk higher than any other "premium" (non-luxury brand) CUV with which it competes (Explorer platinum, any loaded Highlander/Pilot/Pathfinder/CX-9, V6 Durango, etc.)

My criticisms aside, I think this re-sized CUV is a good move by GM.  Compete in the smaller part of the 7-passenger market with the Acadia, but keep the Traverse larger for those that want the extra size.

Besides that horrid light wood, I don't mind the interior at all.
Lighten up Francis.....

All the reviews I've read on the Acadia have been very positive. We'll have to wait and see how shrinking it will play out, I expect to see an Acadia XL version to surface, it may also be called "Envoy"

...with significantly less cargo capacity.

Ya, noticed that.  Cargo capacity behind 2nd row is on par with a CR-V.  That's disappointing.
Quality is never an accident; it is always the result of high intention, sincere effort, intelligent direction, and skillful execution; it represents the wise choice of many alternatives.

to be fair, the previous gen units were land whales...the smaller footprint likely makes it much easier to manoeuvre the parking lots and fitting in a garage...if you need bigger, you get the Tahoe/Yukon...i think the size reduction was a smart move...same with the new Equinox...new exterior dimensions are quite a bit smaller, but interior is the same or larger than the outgoing model...it is a much better designed use of space.

$63k? Yeesh.

Right between an Explorer Platinum and an MDX Elite and I'm not sure this thing can compete...
You can't just have your characters announce how they feel.
That makes me feel angry!

Totally not worth the price GM is asking for this...the interior is absolutely low grade for a $63k CUV....!

Some of you already mentioned better vehicles than this...Explorer platinum, Acura MDX, Lincoln MKX, mid-level Lexus RX!

I'm shocked this review does not state anything negative about the Acadia! Seriously 'a splash of colour'??? I'm guessing Justin is trying to stay friends with GM....CR trashed the Acadia!

...Explorer platinum,

No thanks...

So out of about 1MM Explores sold since 2011, 450 people are filing exhaust reports? That's really low...:)

Only thing the Explorer offers over this is the TTV6, even with that its only slightly quicker and much thirstier.

Acadia looks much better than the dated Explorer in and out imo.

I'm happy with my garbage! 50k well spent!
Mine has 21k now and I have not experienced the exhaust issue...I am likely part of the 999,459 people that don't have the issue lol

I supposed looks are technically subjective but IMO the Explorer looks way better inside and out and the interior quality very early matches MDX level in the platinum trim, putting the Acadia to shame.

It's also cheaper, and you know, torque.....

I have a 2011 explorer, never had an exhaust smell issue, but a guy stopped me in a parking lot to ask me if I did, because his wife's explorer had an issue.  One thing I did notice, I drove behind a truck for about a kilometer, he was burning his brakes.  I could smell that for the rest of the day, so much so, that I wondered if it was my brakes.  I assume that the air inlet is the problem.  I had replaced the cabin air filter about a week before this happened, so it wasn't a problem with an old filter.

I'd say the air intake system for the cabin must have some issues.
