the commentators are much better when muted...

Yeah, SpaceX only starts their live feed minutes before, so I can't post that youtube feed until it's too late.

But dammit, they stuck the landing

Anyone else watching where the Chinese Space Junk is going to land? Suppose to enter the atmosphere around 3:30 UTC or 11:30 PM Oakville time.

Finally!

Watch the launch of the James Webb Space Telescope—the most powerful space telescope ever made. This mission is scheduled to lift off at 7:20 a.m. EST (12:20 UTC), Dec. 25, 2021, aboard an Ariane 5 rocket from Europe’s Spaceport in French Guiana.

The International Space Station will be visible for six minutes Tuesday evening, starting at 6:13 pm CST.  Clear skies and light winds should make for good viewing.

Visit https://spotthestation.nasa.gov/home.cfm for viewing times at your location.

We saw it a couple of years ago when when we were camping at Rushing River.  We spotted what looked like a brighter than usual satellite moving across the sky.  I suggested it may be the space station, and indeed, when we looked up online where the space station was at that moment, I was right!

It's funny, because I spotted it over Manitoba, and by the time I checked the website (like a minute or two), it was over Montreal.

The ISS moves at a pretty good clip, about 27,600 km/h.

I can confirm it's still cool to watch the ISS fly overhead.
