What's the spec on the E46? How's the rust status? These tend to rust in Ontario. Yet to see one here without rust on the quarter panels.

Poverty spec’d. Manual seats, leatherette, etc. Still has auto climate control and stereo upgrade. Some rust sadly started in the rear wheel wells. Otherwise very nice body. It’s a real joy to drive!

Wheel well

Still clean. Can't see much rust in the picture.

Nice find.

Find as a car dealer I have zero time to focus on the things I’ve bought for myself. This 93 Sixty Special Fleetwood got home and into the back corner where its been sitting for nearly four months untouched. Finally have some time to tinker with it some. Nice car, not without some electrical issues though. This has the 4.9 V8, they had gobs of low end grunt. Last year of this body style! What I find odd is how small this car seems, parked beside a 2015 Impala and the caddy looked positively dinky.

Never heard about "Sixty Special Fleetwood". On your pictures, the side windows look a tad disproportionally large imho but the GM design of that era, their downsized cars have to look bigger than real life. Nice find

Are these the cars that have the horn that sounds like a train?

Another nice find, looks really solid! This era of Cadillac drive, and feel, way better than they get credit for, and there's plenty of cool little quirks and bits of tech. That said, I am not a fan of the styling on these downsized Sedan Devilles. It's like they took a much larger car and shrunk it, but certain parts shrunk more than others. The Eldorado & Seville of this era look slicker in my eyes.

I took the horns out of one of these and put them in my Volare.  >:D

Yep, this has train horns.

Firm, had this 91 STS for a year or so. Sold it last summer to a collector in Saskatchewan.

My miserly side has always wanted another Volt. The ones I’ve had have been really nice to drive and great on fuel. Bought another yesterday. Lifetime average of 4.8l/100km is acceptable. Sadly already hit two snags. I locked myself out (still can’t see how that’s possible with the two proximity fobs in the cup holder) and a pesky battery coolant low code. Other than that it’s great! It’ll save us some money in the long run too.

That interior was nice! Old timer who owned it had blankets over the seats and several sets of residential floor mats over the carpets. Only a few cracks in the wood on the doors. Sold it to a classic car dealer out of Saskatchewan. Had 112km.

Don’t usually have regrets selling vehicles. But some just stick in my mind. I really enjoy XJ Jeeps, and this one was so clean and minty. I swear if I find another like this I’ll keep it! Such a simple old wagon that I actually enjoy driving.

^^My buddy bought a pre-facelift XJ ('94?) in forest green last fall, 4L I6, < 160k kms, little rust. Hes been fixing it up all winter, its gonna be his camping rig. :) He was searching for a 3rd gen 4Runner but most sellers wanted unicorn money for them.

This was the other one I regretted selling. Was the country edition, though I much prefer the newer dash.

They’re starting to bring unicorn money. Especially if they have no rust. Proven to be reliable, capable off road, and stupid simple to fix. Plus there’s a huge aftermarket for them. In many ways I think they are better than a 4 runner!

Yeah, had a buddy who bought one years ago, something like 400,000 km on it. Got it for $500, thought it would get them by for a little for a beater. They drove that thing for years commuting and running around town. Sold it eventually when they moved, got what he paid

Said it was easy to fix and parts were cheap, but he rarely had to work on it anyway. They really liked it

I too have a soft spot for XJs. My parents had an 85 XJ Cherokee Wagoneer Limited (basically, a fully loaded Cherokee with fake wood paneling and really plush leather seats). It was a pretty rare truck, and looked cool, but my dad hated it....Had lots of trouble with the driveline; u-joints, CV-shafts, transfer case, etc. They got it in 89 and by 96 it was pretty rusty, swapped for the 95 STS that they still own.

A good friend back in my university days had another rare example; a 99 sport, exactly the same colors as the one Rev posted, but 2-dr and a 5-sp manual...Aside from the Sport appearance stuff (5-spoke alloys, black trim, etc...exactly like Rev's) it was bare bones; manual windows, no cruise, etc. He rescued it from a scrapyard with around 300K on it, repaired whatever mechanical issue had sent it there, and drove it for years....He had a gig as a process-server and drove the Jeep everywhere. It had upwards of 500K when he finally replaced it a few years back. I bet it's still on the road somewhere.
